First trip on the bus with four kids! Hopefully, the baby will grow up to enjoy such rides like his siblings so that we can explore more of our island next time.

Yup, that also means we are keeping our fingers crossed that we will feel safe to venture further soon. At least, we can now go out as a group of five once again and this is not something we take for granted, even if it is just a short trip to the supermarket.

How are you planning to spend the last two weeks of the June holidays? For us, it's still gonna be stay home most of the time but we also hope to visit more parks, go outdoor for exercise or head to a couple of neighbourhood playgrounds before school starts.

Our favourite seats on the bus! Yay!

The girls like to go to the upper deck and sit at the first row but it hasn't always been possible because we have a stroller and a toddler with us. With so much barang and three kids to keep an eye on, I prefer to stay on the lower deck and not have to make everyone climb up and down or leave our stuff unattended. That said, this was also my most loved seat as a kid and I also love the unblocked view from here ley, feels like we are the ones driving the bus!

So, now that they are older and we don't have to bring the buggy out every time, it seems like we will be able to do this more often! Yay! Happy that we almost had the entire deck all to ourselves this evening, haha. Simple joy of life.

P.S. They don't always behave perfectly on the bus one, yeah? Still bicker, still fight, still sing out loud and still ask me "Are we reaching yet?" umpteen times when all I wanna do is sit back and enjoy the view. Yup, kids are still kids after all.

It's been raining cats and dogs these days but life as a mum has to go on. We decided to brave the heavy rain today in picking up the little sister from school and then going for art class, both of which require us to walk through non-sheltered paths. Halfway through, the downpour got worse and the practical me thought maybe we should just grab a cab to make things easier; but the frugal me said every cent counts and if you can save, save. So armed with three umbrellas, a stroller, a diaper bag, a school bag, two water bottles and three kids, we took the LRT, MRT followed by bus before making our way along a narrow pavement next to the main road to reach our destination. Yup, we did it and we urged each other to enjoy moments like this and keep the smile on our faces.

The good thing is even though we ended up half wet (yes, the rain was really heavy), the girls were happy to be able to walk, and dance, in the rain and even if I only had one hand to hold the umbrella and take this pic (the other hand was pushing the stroller with the baby in it), this will be a precious memory for us.

So now, they are having class while I am nursing a baby while clad in a wet dress (my back is all wet because I tried to lean forward to cover more of the stroller even though it had a rain cover but we had so much other barang on it, mums will understand, right?). Strangely, I feel at peace. And somewhat happy. Happy to get out of the house and get a breath of fresh air, and forget about the packing for awhile. Hoping that we can have a nice dinner outside later! P.S. I actually feel relieved a little to come out because that means I don't need to cook (other than the porridge for the baby)!
