Thanks once again to The Straits Wine Company for allowing me to experience an awesome cheese and wine pairing session. Last night, at their Cluny Court outlet (which is the cutest place ever!!), the good people of The Cheese Artisans Singapore were on-hand to help me battle my inner aromatic-cheese demons. By balancing strong (read:pungent) flavours with things like Moscato Nectar, Truffle Honey, Lime and Chili Fruit Jam (pictured) and crackers of all shapes, sizes and tastes, I was able to enjoy these cheeses tremendously! My favorite of all the cheeses was the Reypenaer VSOP Gouda; aged for two years in a 100 year-old ripening house on the banks of the Oude Rijn River, this hard cheese has a deep caramel flavour and goes incredibly well with the Moscato Nectar. Paired with some gorgeous, gorgeous drops of vino from The Straits Wine Company, my journey into wine and cheese heaven has officially begun.
