There is a number a paper offering stores near Queen's Road West, Sai Ying Pun 西營盤皇后大道西. Every year before the Mid-Autumn festival, the street becomes a Lantern Street! One thing we found disappointing is that the quality of the handmade lantern dropped. Swipe to see the last 2 photos, those are the rabbit and goldfish lanterns we found 4 years ago.
Don’t forget to check out 卓越食品餅店, which is right opposite to these Lantern shop for the Piggy biscuit #豬籠餅 #豬仔餅, which was once a very popular Mid-autumn festival snack!
Bakers used to bake a small portion of mooncake dough to test the temperature of the oven. To sell off leftover mooncake dough, bakers make it into the shape of piggy, goldfish, and sold them in tiny colourful pig cages.
Mid Autumn festival falls on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month (falls on 21st September, 2021 in western calendar). On this full moon (which symbolizes family reunion) night, family members gather to eat mooncakes, play lanterns and enjoy the moon.

Let’s take a look at my new tapes for today.😆
We have three new designs here:
stationery/ postage/ coffee.
3cm wide, 10m long, 50cm per cycle,
UV printing matte PET tape.
Some might ask why keep the white ink on the magnifying glass?
I always want them to have more flexibilities,
By keeping the white ink underneath it allowed users to add things on it without overcomplicated looks,
same as when stamping on it.
You can cut it off if you want.
It doesn’t fits me if I set it as semi-translucent at the beginning.
A little bit personal preference.😅
Of course I made a few samples,
Will post it later.🙌🏻
We already have washi die-cut stickers so I only produced PET tapes with these designs.

今天先看一下我們這次新的膠帶😆
這次有三款:
文具/ 咖啡/ 郵政
3cm寬,總長10m,50cm一循環,
UV印刷霧面PET膠帶。
有些人可能會想問為什麼放大鏡的白墨都留著呢?
我個人的原則是保留越多應用性越好,
有白墨底能夠讓使用者在往上加東西的時候不會看起來太複雜而凸顯主題,
當然也可以蓋章在這上面,
或是把白墨的部分切掉也行。
一開始就設定半透對我來說反而不是那麼好運用,
一點點個人偏好的方向嘍😅
當然也為了這個部分做了比較,
過兩天準備好就來分享🙌🏻
這次我們已經有和紙軋型貼紙,
膠帶就只做了PET的材質。

Sending with Love.
After being a stationery shop owner officially, my friends started to ask about what am I doing. I received loads of positive vibe and responses from them. I cherish those responses from my friends, those words are not praise but encouragement!
I love stationery and being a stationery addict for many years, and I never thought of combining my interest and job, and it actually happened! I’m busy all the time, but I’m truly happy! Besides, sometimes I made mistakes, but my angel customers always forgive. (Thanks a lot!)
Finally, the idea came through my mind in a midnight, and then I suddenly got back to my major: design out of nowhere. I’m excited that I can be back to my design world with positive vibes! I still can’t believe that! Few years ago, one of my follower asked me if I will design my own products; I still remember that I didn’t give her a sure answer and told her “ maybe, but it might happen until I’m ready. “ But still, I still didn’t think of any products until the idea came into my head!
These photos are meaningful to me! Those paper pack are for my friends and customers to try out our first stamp “Traveling on paper.” I’m thankful that many of you are helping me to achieving my dream after many years!

Double or triple this recipe to make as many as you want 😊
Whipped cream or ice cream filling is really good. It adds vanilla flavor and sweetness. Makes it moist and super delicious. Must try!
French Crullers are the top-selling donut at Mister Donut (donut shop) in Japan. Simple sugar glaze is my kids' favorite but in this video they ended up playing with the cream 😅

2-Ingredient French Crullers
Difficulty: Very Easy
Time: 15min
Number of servings: 3 (3-Inch-round 1.5-Inch-height)
Ingredients:
160g (5.6oz.) Tempura flour https://amzn.to/3BXYIMp
4 tbsp. mayonnaise https://amzn.to/3yTRmHX
100ml water
deep frying oil
powdered sugar (confectioner's sugar)
whipped cream
Directions:
1. Put Tempura flour, mayonnaise, and 100ml water in a bowl and mix well with a spatula.
2. Transfer the batter into a pastry bag fitted with a large (0.6inch) star tip (Do NOT use a round tip or the batter will explode!!!). Pipe out 2 layers of rings onto a parchment paper.
3. Deep fry in oil at 180C (350F) until crisp golden brown.
4. Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with sugar glaze (mix 3 tbsp. powdered sugar & 1 tsp. water). You can slice and place whipped cream or ice cream between the layers if you like!
I haven't tried but I think you can bake in oven at 180C (350F) for 15 minutes.

We are making Tofu Don, a tofu bowl, which is a delicious way to enjoy plenty of chilled, smooth tofu. We'll also introduce how to make delicious dashi soy sauce. This is an easy and very tasty rice bowl that you don't need to cook during the hot season. You can just arrange what you have in the refrigerator on the rice bowl.
How to Make Tofu Don

(serves 1) Cook Time: 20 minutes
[Tofu Don (Tofu Bowl)]
Steamed Rice, as much as you like
Used Katsuobushi (Bonito Flakes), saved after making the dashi stock
200g Soft Silken Tofu, 1/2 pack (7.1 oz)
1 Egg Yolk, optional
20g Soft Shirasu Whitebait, kamaage shirasu (0.7 oz)
20g Takanazuke, pickled takana leaves fermented with lactic acid, substitute: suguki, nozawana or hiroshima pickles (0.7 oz)
Tenkasu, crunchy bits of deep fried flour-batter
Spring Onion Leaves
Toasted White Sesame Seeds
[Dashi Soy Sauce] (about 150 ml/5.1 fl oz, substitute: regular soy sauce or mentsuyu, noodle soup base)
80ml Mirin (2.7 fl oz)
100ml Soy Sauce (3.4 fl oz)
50ml Water (1.7 fl oz)
3g Dashi Kombu Seaweed, shredded used kombu can be used in miso soup (0.11 oz)
10g Katsuobushi (Bonito Flakes) (0.35 oz)
Recipe Notes:
As a substitute for the takana pickle, there are lactic acid fermented pickles such as Kyoto's Suguki, Hiroshimana, and Nozawana pickles.
When using this dashi soy sauce as a dipping sauce for soba or udon noodles, dilute 1 part dashi soy sauce with 2 parts cold water.
When making the dashi soy sauce, you can add sake to the mirin instead of the water and evaporate the alcohol together. The sake will add a savory flavor to the dashi soy sauce, making it even more delicious.
You can store the chopped spring onions in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days. Line a paper towel in a food storage container and place the spring onions in it.
