當時住在一個四樓公寓，室友是好客的人，於是經常會找朋友回家聚會，還學不會怎麼跟別人相處的我總是忍耐著。那是個夏天，我一個人跑到高雄的步道咖啡，隨意撈到了村上春樹《沒有色彩的多崎作與他的巡禮之年》這本書，一坐就是好幾個小時過去，看完書已是快打烊的時間，帶著多崎作回家，結果到家門前發現還停著幾台機車，索性就一個人坐附近眼科的椅子上，讓蚊子陪著我啪啪啪地把這首歌寫完。

這首歌最初的Demo版收錄於2016年的手工EP《Demo.1》，當時好多事情對我們來說都是第一次，聽混音是什麼意思？mastering是什麼意思？一轉眼，這首歌就這樣陪我們走到2020年的現在。

今年初在錄新專輯時，其實曾考慮要把多崎作從專輯中剔除，總覺得它已經太「舊」，但到最後還是選擇把這首的新版本呈現給大家。在重新配唱時，製作人Easy要我想像，這是兩個高中女生互看彼此乳房，雖然當下滿頭問號還是試著揣測，看到這裡你應該會想到一些色色的事吧？我可沒有。直到前些日子才明白意思，想著：已經老了四歲，當下怎能理解什麼是純粹呢？但我真的不懂嗎？

出了社會的多崎作也是這樣懷疑著的吧？總不相信事情能有多單純。

時間過去，很慶幸當時有把這首歌留在身邊，宣示青春永駐。
