Speak out. Speak ur heart. Speak ur mind. Be urself. Be real. Why should we silence our voices because society is Not ready for our thoughts. When u face difficulty or oppression remember it is the close minded and rigid minded that oppress. People who believe in true freedom would never try to silence or suppress a voice or a thought. In fact they would welcome a new idea and discuss the merits and demerits of both idealogies. It is the people who are unwilling to evolve and grow that think that only they know what's right! #TM #actor #actorslife #styletiskh #SpeakUp #SpeakYourMind #ThinkPositive #SpreadHappiness

A Statement of Cultural Studies Teachers in Response to the HKSAR Government’s Violent Crackdown of Students’ Peaceful Protest
We bear witness today to the HKSAR administration’s use of the "anti-riot" police force to crack down unarmed and restrained students and the protesters who are in support of the students’ strike. The police force used pepper spray, truncheons, and many rounds of tear-gas to oppress the students and protesters. Some "anti-riot" policemen even pointed their shotguns at the protesters.
The freedom of public assembly is a civil right of Hong Kong people. Students and citizens’ taking the form of public assembly to assert the right to public space and to express the desire and demand for more democracy is a democratic expression of civil society. We as educators are extremely disappointed and disheartened by the police’s massive mobilization of armed forces to crackdown and suppress the people and their voices. This is a violent snatching away of people’s freedom of assembly, and setting a bad example of debasing Hong Kong’s cultivated democracy.
In view of this, we cultural studies teachers join the class boycott this week. We hold firmly to the principle and practice of “boycott classes, learning goes on.” We take this class boycott to condemn the wrong and unjust act of the police force. We urge the HKSAR Government to abandon its “linguistic sleight of hand,” honestly and courageously respond to the democratic demand of the people here and now.
