An 85-year old Taiwanese man and his son who tested positive for the novel coronavirus in February after contracting the disease on the Diamond Princess, have recovered following treatment at a hospital in Japan, where the cruise ship was docked. They returned to Taiwan in March.

A total of 24 Taiwanese -- 22 passengers and two crew members -- were on the ship which had been in quarantine off the Japanese city of Yokohama for more than 14 days, after the coronavirus was detected in a passenger who had disembarked.

The father and son thanked the Taiwanese authorities for helping them eventually get tested so they could get off the ship and receive treatment at a hospital.

They urged people required to be quarantined to follow the rules and also urged society to not stigmatize coronavirus patients.

An 85-year-old Taiwanese passenger on the Diamond Princess cruise liner, which is quarantined off the Japanese city of Yokohama due to an onboard outbreak of the novel #coronavirus (COVID-19), was admitted to hospital in Japan on Friday with the deadly virus, according to his son.

I have flown as a passenger, and I know how it feels like when you ask the flight attendant for help and get an unfriendly "look".

Well...Not all Flight attendants are rude and unfriendly...
