去年因为看了 Az Samad 的 Open Mix 系列，决定要将这样的文化带到中文圈子里。几个月后， #脱口唱 真的成型了。谢谢 Az n Yin 的鼓励和支持。还有我的团队的付出， Good Friends Cafe 的大力配合，当然还有 你们每个人 的支持。我们下个月见 ！
After visiting Az Samad's open mic at The Venue last year, me and my team decided to introduce the idea to Chinese community. And it became a reality since last September. Thank u for your advise n support, Az Samad n Waterfall Yin. Thank u Good Friends Cafe for being supportive always. Thank u, my team Isabell Jia Jia, PM Wang, Kylie Sze Wei, Alvin Yong, Fayse Rayve, Billy Ong. Thank u audience .. Let's keep the ball rolling ! See u next month.

Was the opening act for October's Open Mic hosted by WinnieHO 何芸妮 =)
I performed 2 songs that I've never performed live before - Love Theme in Pastel Hues and Angin Yang Ganjil. Also performed with my jazz student, Kirsten Long who is a vocalist, pianist, singer-songwriter and teacher! She sang well =)
We also met Alarice, an internationally noted singer-songwriter, who was the featured act for the night.
Really enjoyed all the performances from the open mic acts including students and ex-students of UM, our Podgy & The Banker Barista who performed as Caught Red Handed and Joe.
It was really nice meeting everyone - am really happy some of you came up to talk to me :) And thank you to those who supported and bought my CDs =)
Congratulations to everyone who had a hand in organising this Open Mic - I know it's not easy...from the posters to the promotion to photographers to videographer and to our good host Good Friends Cafe!
ACOUSTIC GUITAR: I performed on a Lowden F-35c Blackwood/Adirondack.
PICKUP: I using the awesome K&K Sound Systems Trinity System which includes their award-winning Pure Mini pickup, the Trinity Microphone and a K&K Trinity System 2 Channel Preamp.
STRINGS: Elixir Strings make my acoustic steel string guitars & Proteus electric guitar sound epic!
BAGS: I use JunkMonkey messenger bags and the FunkySquirrel Amp Bag made by Patrick Lim of Greenroom136.
CLOTHES: I’ve been rocking out in Pestle & Mortar Clothing!
Thai Green Papaya salads
「泰式青木瓜沙律」
Ingredients:
Green Papaya..............................................1 Pcs
Cherry Tomatoes (Halved).........................10 Pcs
Green Long Beans (Segmented)................2 Stalks
Dried Shrimps..............................................1.5 Tbsp
Roasted Peanuts.........................................1.5 Tbsp
Onion (Finely Sliced)...................................1/4 pcs
Cooked Preserved Salty Egg.......................1 pcs
Marinades:
Thai Red Chilies.........................................2 Pcs
Garlic..........................................................2 Cloves
Fresh Lime Juice........................................2 Tbsp
Fish Sauce..................................................1.5 Tbsp
Palm Sugar.................................................1 Tbsp
Tamarind Sauce..........................................2 tsp
Methods:
1. Add Thai Red Chilies and Garlic into Mortar and Pestle, keep Pounding until mashed. Add the rest of Marinades and mix well.
2. Add Cherry Tomatoes, Green Long Beans, Onion and Dried Shrimps in the Mortar and Pestle. Give a few gentle press to those ingredients to release their flavors.
3.Put them on a nice plate, serve together with Roasted Peanuts and Cooked Preserved Salty Egg.
