Details of the Incident of a Person Suspected Sent to the Hospital

本日網上流傳一張照片，照片內有穿着全套防護衣物之醫護人員及救護車於紅磡宿舍外。就此，本會向校方了解情況，以下為校方正式回覆：
理大證實一名學生曾前往武漢，並曾發燒；該名學生於返港前已退燒，但回港後仍有咳嗽。該學生今天已前往大學醫療保健處就診，該學生現時情況穩定；理大已將個案通知衞生防護中心。
由於該名學生是理大紅磡宿舍宿生，校方已即時在宿舍進行特別清潔及消毒，並聯絡其室友跟進。
就近日於武漢市爆發的不明肺炎，理大已加強校園和宿舍內的清潔和消毒，並建議剛從武漢回港的員工及學生，回港後14天應密切注意體溫及身體狀況，並戴上外科口罩，如有不適，應立即求診，並知會校方。此外，校方已向全體師生員工發電郵，提醒他們做好個人衞生預防措施。
學生會在此提醒所有學生注意個人衞生，勤洗手，並且留意身體狀況；如有不適請盡早求醫。
A photo of an ambulance parking outside the Hung Hom Hall with persons on PPE has spread widely today on various social media. The Union has hence seek clarification from the University and following is the translated official reply from PolyU:
PolyU confirms a student travelled to Wuhan had suffered from fever was recovered before his backhaul, that student still keep coughing after his arrival of Hong Kong. The student seek medical advice from UHS today and is now stabled, PolyU informed the case to Centre for Health Protection.
PolyU has conducted extra cleansing and disinfection at the hall immediately as he resides at the Hung Hom Hall; his roommate was also been informed for further follow-up actions.
Considering the Severe Respiratory Disease associated with a Novel Infectious Agent, PolyU has also enhanced the cleansing and disinfection measures in the campus and halls. PolyU also advices staff and students returned from Wuhan keep close attention to his/her body temperature and condition, with surgical mask on 14 days from your arrival of Hong Kong; please seek immediate medical advice and inform the University if you are feeling unwell. Apart from that, PolyU has also sent an email to all staff and students to encourage enhancement of personal health protective measures.
The Union hereby remind students to aware your personal hygiene and take appropriate preventive measures; keep an eye on your body condition and seek medical help immediately if you are feeling unwell.
