I can’t go back to eating regular ramyun/ramen anymore..... this was SO DANG DELICIOUS!!
Hope you like my not-so-perfect cooking video! This is realistically what happens in my kitchen more often than not esp since I don’t cook as often as I like... well, not until all this staying home bizness and watching way too many cooking hack videos!
Ingredients:
🍜 Egg(s)
🍜 1 pack of Shin Ramyun instant noodles
🍜 550ml of lactose-free milk
🍜 Dried seaweed (optional)
🍜 Spring onions (optional)
🍜 Sesame seeds (I forgot to add this but you could for some extra pazaz)

In lieu of Ramadan month, posting this up because don’t us Malaysians miss going to Ramadan markets to jalan-jalan while we munch on our apams? Happy buka puasa, my Muslim friends!
By popular demand, I have been requested to leave recipes down because people would like to refer to it.
For this recipe, it was inspired by @khairulaming so you can check out his apam balik tutorial for the batter (although I did make a few changes of my own to my batter).
If you’re lazy to search for it, here is the copy pasted recipe (alterations are in brackets):
🧇 2 cups of all purpose-flour
🧇 1/2 cup sugar (I used brown sugar)
🧇 1/2 tsp baking soda
🧇 1 tsp baking powder
🧇 1 egg
🧇 1 1/4 cup of water (I ended up adding double this amount to achieve the same consistency as his batter... so I’d say I added about 2 1/2 cup of water)
🧇 Yellow coloring (didn’t have this and still came out look mighty fine)
🧇 2 tbsp melted butter
🧇 Salt to taste
Toppings:
🍯 Butter
🍯 Sugar (again used brown sugar)
🍯 Crushed peanuts
🍯 Creamed corn
Not sure why even though I followed his recipe super precisely that my batter was pretty thick and I got feedback from others who tried as well that they too had a pretty thick batter but still went ahead to make it and it works just fine too. I guess with the additional water, I was able to make an extra batch!
