Tian Yuan Dessert is probably one of the few places that you can find sweet treats in Pearl City (Simpang Ampat). The place serves some really classic home-cooked Chinese sweet soups, like the familiar Red Bean Soup, Bee Koh Moi, Bubur Cha Cha, Barley Fu-Chok etc, with a few cold choices of Longan Tofu, Mango Sago Pudding etc. It does not has a lot to offer but just a few solid selections. Not bad for a quick fix but unlikely a place that I would drive all the way there just to have a bowl of sweet soup.

材料:小南瓜1個、粟米連鬚2根、栗子80克、核桃30克、洋薏米40克、無花果3枚
做法:
1. 小南瓜去皮去籽切大塊;粟米連鬚去衣切段,其餘材料洗淨備用。
2. 鍋中加入約2000毫升水,放入全部材料,武火煮至水滾,調至文火煮約1小時,最後下鹽調味即可。
注意:身體有偏熱症狀不宜多喝。

Chestnut and walnut soup with pumpkin and corn
Effects: replenish the kidneys and strengthen the mind, strengthen the spleen and nourish qi
Ingredients: 1 small pumpkin, 2 ears of corn with silk, 80g chestnuts, 30g walnuts, 40g pearl barley, 3 figs
Preparation:
1. Peel and seed pumpkin and cut into large pieces. Keep silk on corn and cut into pieces. Rinse all other ingredients thoroughly.
2. Combine all ingredients with 2000ml of water and cook on high heat until boiling. Turn to low heat and simmer for 1 hour. Add salt to taste.
Note: not suitable for those with heat related symptoms.
