In Hobart, the Parliament was shrouded in charcoal and burned wood, the island's leadership in ashes. People are angry and they're terrified. Our leaders are failing us. The overwhelming message was simply this: don't burn our futures.
The current fire crisis is the leading edge of a nightmare that threatens all of life on our planet. This is one degree warming, we are heading towards a minimum of three. The horror of that future doesn't bear imagining. And global emissions are still rising.
