Please be careful about using the drinking glasses at Greyhound Cafe Singapore.

I haven’t recovered from the fright, and I will be suffering from anxiety over this for quite a while, but I will share my experience with you, hoping it doesn’t happen to anyone else.

I was there with Luke. I ordered some food to share and a bottle of water for Luke. He drank from the glass provided. Suddenly I heard a weird sound coming from him, like a crisp crack. I looked over, and to my absolute horror, a piece of glass had chipped off the rim of the drinking glass and into Luke’s mouth. I don’t quite remember exactly what happened next, but I do know I shouted “Spit! Spit it out now!” Luke did as he was told, he was bleeding. He started crying loudly. I was worried about bits of glass stuck in his mouth, so I quickly rinsed it with water, used my finger to check, and brought him to the restroom to rinse some more. I was slightly relieved that there wasn’t much blood, and when I shone a light to look at the cuts, they were small and had stopped bleeding.

I asked Luke if he was in any pain, he said no. Did he remember swallowing anything? No. Another small relief.

We went back to the cafe, and I wanted to check the broken glass to see if Luke really hadn’t swallowed anything, but to my biggest dismay, the service crew had cleaned up the glass. I was furious. Someone came to ask how Luke was, and gave an apology. That was it. No one offered to look into the matter, to check the safety of their drinking glasses. It was also then that I realised while they gave me a plastic plate and cutlery, they did not offer plastic cups for children.

I admit I did not ask for a plastic cup. I question my decision to let Luke drink from a glass. But I certainly did not expect a drinking glass to break as easily as a cracker.

I paid for the meal and brought Luke to see a doctor. We were told to go to KKH, because the incident involved glass and could be dangerous, even without immediate visible symptoms. Hours later, we were home. Physical checks and x-rays turned out ok, but the wait and watch begins. Praying and hoping he’s fine.

意外的发现这家cafe的蛋糕很不错吃，就order了最近很多cafe, restaurant 都在卖的《Matcha Burnt Cheesecake》
只是如果你不喜欢抹茶，就奉劝你叫原味或者黑巧克力的口味 ??
他们连Cempedak Burnt Cheesecake 都有

It is really never easy to catch up with the cafes in Klang Valley but this bunch is super update with every new cafe!

I'm grateful of course with such amazing people around me.
