【 Meet the Anchors | #海內外人才大聚集 #2021第一場 】

Here comes one of our favorite moments - "Meet the Anchors" is our monthly ecosystem meetup series that takes place on the 1st Friday of every month (#每月第一個禮拜五). We are so blessed to be surrounded by these like-minded and community-driven brilliant minds from all over the world!

Intentionally kept small, this unique gathering is meant to provide a container for meaningful conversations and connections. In Dec we met with:

I grew up in Germany and for me there was no summer without a cold glas of beer. In Germany beer is something very enjoyable, something refreshing. I am missing the summer days while laying at the lake, looking at the sky, feeling the soft wind on my skin and enjoying my beer with my friends. Luckily in Vietnam I could find a place called @eastwestbrewery who is offering really good and yummy beer. They offer Craft beer microbrewery with summer hefeweizen, a beer influenced by Germany. East West makes it amazing. German approved guys!
Also this wednesday @baozihcm is having a Pop Up at East West - good BaoBurgers with good beer! I will be there too, so if u wanna join me for a beer and have fun comeeee 😎

China Town has two popular hawker centre: Maxwell and China Town Complex. But did you know there is another hawker centre popular among the locals? It is called Hong Lim Market & Food Centre and it's actually pretty near the MRT station. My viewers told me I had to visit there, so here I am. Is the food really good? Is it worth visiting? First of all, never ever would I have thought I'd be back this soon, but yes, I was back in Vietnam the past month and filmed some great content for you guys that will be released in the weeks and months to come. Please RSVP. Lastly, I'm going against my mother's wishes for now and will continue to make as many videos of Vietnamese people abroad as possible because of many reasons. First, this is my passion right now. Meeting and hearing people's stories of struggles and success gives me a lot of pride in being Vietnamese and how resilient we are. Secondly, I have a degree in history and I understand the importance of recording history. If we don't save or document history, it will be lost forever. The younger generations or the current ones unaware should at least know some history. They'll have a better understanding and respect for where they came from. Perhaps then, hearing experiences and stories from others will also motivate and inspire them. It certainly influenced me. And lastly, I hope to continue to fine tune and learn from this short documentary production art. It's a form of expression that I've been doing for years and always want to improve and make better videos. Certain opportunities have arisen from the past, and hopefully more might happen in the future. The only way I'll know is if I keep creating content that I am passionate about
