I was super stoked and excited to have been invited to the Quebec indie music awards (GAMIQ) this time last year as a performer.
I miss the feeling of doing live shows. I have been sitting on a pile of Chinese music for all these years that I’ve been stuck in my goddamn contract and honestly I can’t wait to share it. However, I truly believe that if you can get your ass kicked by life’s never ending obstacles AND grow from it, it can only make your (definition of) success all that more savoury, and make you as a person more grateful. Sorry to sound like a Pinterest pep talk (and for my long run on sentences 🤓🥸). I got pretty emotional after today’s recording session 😂

I’m excited to publish my first book, and because I get uncomfortable when people have high expectations, I'd like to use this opportunity to showcase my ineptitude, pettiness, and the frequency with which I embarrass myself. And while many of my female inspirations who have become authors are incredibly well-educated and accomplished comedy writers, I'm very, very funny on Twitter, according to Buzzfeed and my mom, so I feel like this is a great idea.

Quick question: are run-on sentences still frowned upon? Wait, is ending a sentence with a preposition still frowned upon? I mean, upon frowned? Dammit!
