CheckCheckCin:無可否認擠暗瘡的一刻很治癒,但擠壓發炎的毛囊及皮脂腺,換來的就是久久不能退的暗瘡印。如本身屬於氣滯、血瘀體質,體內氣血運行不暢,瘀血積聚於肌膚,聚而不散留下紅印或啡印,便需要活血化瘀,可適量服用活血化瘀功效的藥材,例如赤芍、丹參、紅花、益母草、玫瑰花、山楂等。日常可適量進食有活血化瘀功效的食材,例如蓮藕、山楂、黑木耳、韭菜等有助增加血氣循環,減退痘印。謹記少吃生冷及辛辣食物,兩類食物都會影響氣血運行。如再有暗瘡出現,就要忍忍手不再擠了!
去痘印茶療
功效:清熱活血涼血,紓緩暗瘡形成及減淡深色暗瘡印。
材料:牡丹皮9克、赤芍9克、丹參9克
做法:材料洗淨放保溫瓶,以熱開水沖洗一遍,再注入熱開水焗30分鐘即可。此茶可反覆沖泡至味淡,建議一星期飲用2-3天,連續兩星期為一個療程。
備註:孕婦不宜服用。

KO the annoying acne scars
“I have an acne outbreak recently, and I always squeeze the pimples out to get rid of them. Yet, these acne always leave scars on the skin.”
CheckCheckCin: No doubt squeezing the acne can be quite satisfying, but we are squeezing the inflamed hair follicles and sebaceous glands at the same time. This is how acne scars occur, and we will have a hard time getting rid of them.
Individuals with the qi-stagnation and blood stasis constitutions will experience blood stagnation beneath the skin, forming marks that are red or brown. Hence, it is important to invigorate the blood and clear the stasis.
To do so, we can consume ingredients such as common peony root, salvia root, safflower, motherwort, rose flower, and Chinese hawthorn. Other ingredients that can invigorate the blood and clear blood stasis are lotus root, Chinese hawthorn, black fungus, and chives. These ingredients can improve the circulation of qi and blood, which can reduce appearance of acne scars.
Avoid eating raw, cold, and spicy food as they can affect the circulation of the qi and blood. Last but not least, resist the urge of squeezing the acne if you experience another outbreak in the future!
Tea remedy for pimple marks
Effects: clears heat, activates and cools blood and reduces dark pimple marks
Ingredients: 9g peony root, 9g red peony root, 9g salvia root
Preparation: rinse all ingredients thoroughly and place into thermos, rinse with hot water once. Then add in hot water again and steep for 30 minutes. You can re-brew until its flavor weakens. For best results, drink consecutively for 2-3 days. Two weeks for a treatment.
Note: not suitable for pregnant women.

Homemade Rice Dumpling 🎋 Bought all the required ingredients n asked our sifu (my mom 😝) to teach us. The wrapping part is challenging though but I guess practice makes perfect, just need to do this few more rounds n we’ll be good 💯 Many times, homemade / homecooked food are tedious n require lots of work as compared to eating out, but the end result are very satisfying when the food we prepared are tasty n delicious. Looking at how much others enjoy the food makes us feels happy too bcs it only means our effort did paid off. 𝘽𝙪𝙩 𝙘𝙤𝙤𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙨 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙚. Especially those who don’t enjoy long process, reading recipes, understand the taste of each ingredients or working near the hot stove.. If we anyhow cook without first understand the basic, we can’t really expect others to enjoy our food? Or expecting it to be delicious uh? {Giveaway} One of the best feelings in life, to me, is breastfeeding my baby. It's something that makes me feel loved and needed, and reminds me I am truly blessed to be a mum.
Eating chocolate comes close too as I have been a chocolate lover since young. However, having gestational diabetes during my pregnancy made me take a step back from sugary food. Now, I get to do both of these things without feeling guilty because guess what, one actually helps the other!
Thanks to Big Big Mummy Brownies, I have been satisfying my cravings while boosting my milk supply at the same time, woohoo! These lactation brownies are delicious and chocolatey, I love eating them chilled because they taste like yummylicious fudge cubes and I can have one after another!
Okay, I stop at two each time because I can feel the effect after that. Quite amazing! It makes me feel accomplished and motivated when I am able to pump out more milk than what the baby needs. It's also heartening to see that his latching has improved over time and I believe we can make this unique bond of ours last for a long time.
So, who else loves chocolate too?
P.S. Fyi these brownies are safe for everyone to eat, not just breastfeeding mums, yeah? Love that they are not overly sweet or fattening, phew! See my stories for more.
