Question of the day: What martial arts movie changed everything for you? For me it was Jet Li's Shao Lin Temple. This was his first movie and the first time I had seen wushu on the big screen. I was 7 and my grandfather had taken me to the SF Chinatown Great Star theater to see it. I was mesmerized by the scene where Jet sneaks a peak at the monks training and we got to see wushu for the first time! There was a guy doing rope dart, another doing praying mantis and many others doing various different form. The most impressive was the Di Tang Quan guy doing Kip's onto his back and handsprings with just his head. That scene was simply amazing to me. There were many before that impressed me and many others after but Shao Lin Temple was the tipping point that pushed me to want to learn. 4 years later I started learning Shao Lin King Fu. What movie did it for you? #kungfumovies #martialartsmovies #shaolintemplemovie #groundzero
