Went swimming with my Papa today. It's been close to a decade since we last swam together. I have a feeling after today, it's gonna be happening a lot more!

Today brought back quite a lot of sweet memories. Swimming has always been 'our' thing. I remember when i was in Primary school, my Papa would always bring me to the pool. He also taught so many of my classmates how to swim. We would hit the swimming pool after school, and my gfs would progress from walking along the ledge, to swimming by the ledge, to swimming in the middle lane. Come to think of it, it must have been so cute for him to watch us grow. Next time when #babyWooLaLa starts learning how to swim, she can learn it from his grandpa. :)

My papa and i did a lot of bonding time together through exercising. Apart from swimming, we also took very regular long walks together. It's during those time that we would chat. It's so tough being a father to a teenage girl. Especially when my dad is always this strong toughie. For him to understand the emotional world of a teenager must have been overwhelming.

As i am about to become a mom myself, such memories are so important to me. Childhood is such an important part of growing up.

I hope in the future @deon.woo and i will have our own activities with #babyWooLaLa. Something she can always look back fondly at. ❤

Happy Father's Day to my Hero.

Parenthood doesn't come with a book. But for what it's worth, my dad did a fantastic job.

Papa, you didn't have parents to take care of you when you were young, and you were probably the most rebellious in your family. But thank you for instilling all the right values in me. Even though we nv had much at all, you always found a way to feed me, to protect me, to get me the newest gadgets in the littlest that you had. You never once made our life feel insufficient or inadequate.

I grew up eating like you (loving indian food), talking like you, have a bad temper like you. I also grew up with determination, independence, empathy and objective mindset like you. Thank you for all the great gifts you have passed on to me. I will be sure to pass them on to baby when she's here.

I'm so lucky to be your daughter. I love you! Happy Fathers Day, Papa!

It's such a chinese way of showing love - via food.
I think how my dad decide to show it this year is by the size of the abalone. The bigger the 鲍鱼，the bigger the 爱。Haha!

I dont remember when it started, but it has become an annual tradition. Meesuah is a must have every chinese new year and my birthday. Next time when my little one is born, i would like to have a tradition for her too. It is such a nice event to look forward to!
I had to work today, so initially told my dad that i can't go over for meesuah - He sounded so disappointed. I felt so bad for making him feel this way, so i still went before work today. I was rewarded with a bowl of meesuah with overflowing of super delicious ingredients!

Lucky we can visit our parents already. Phase 1 opened just in time for me to have my meesuah fix!
