Can I just say that....... To my defense... I wont strangle the service crew just cause they put a straw in my drink. Now I blame myself for not reminding them that I dont need a straw in my drink. But that doesnt mean I will refuse the drink cause its a single use straw anyhow.... Come on. If I were to return their straw, chances is real high that the staff would also throw it away . So might as well just use it yes? And I choose to post this anyway because I am no hypocrite and I wont pretend that I did not drink this from a straw. Sometimes I forget to request for no straw cause ... Im only human... Haha. Once again, its proven a lot more efficient to have customer opt in for straw. But, we all have our roles so lets be more sensitive with this issue and understand why everyone is talking about the implementation of no straw. I started treating single-use plastic like a bad habit about five years ago. Like with any habit that needs cultivating, it's become so much a part of my life that it's second-nature.

The biggest reason anyone uses single-use anything like bags, containers and straws is convenience. Get past that and you'll go through your every day routine knowing that you aren't contributing to the tens-of-millions of tonnes of plastic waste used every year that end up in landfills, oceans and the environment.

Can I just say that....... To my defense... I won't strangle the service crew just cause they put a straw in my drink. Now I blame myself for not reminding them that I don't need a straw in my drink. Once again, it's proven a lot more efficient to have customer opt in for straw.

But, we all have our roles so let's be more sensitive with this issue and understand why everyone is talking about the implementation of 'no straw'. Understand that it isn't about that tiny little straw cause it is about the knowledge of what single use plastic would impact the environment, and not specifically a straw! :)

It is a blessing to have good food and we should all take food preparation seriously and appreciate food like how we savor all good food. Some people eat to live while others live to eat.
