จากที่ได้ลองใช้ iphone 12 มาประมาณ 1 เดือนและได้ทดสอบวีดีโอ Slow Motion ในโหมดต่างๆทั้ง 4K 60fps, fullHD 120fps กับ 240fps ในความรู้สึกส่วนตัวรู้สึกว่า 4K 60fps กับ fullHD 120fps นั้นดีกว่าที่คาดไว้พอสมควรเลย
4K 60fps จากที่ลองคุณภาพไม่เห็นความแตกต่างกับ 4K 24fps เลย อย่างนี้ผมคงจะถ่าย 60fps เกือบตลอดจะได้สามารถทำเป็น slow motion ทีหลังได้ถ้าต้องการ อาจใช้ 24fps เฉพาะในที่แสงน้อยหรือถ้าต้องการให้ภาพนิ่มนวลขึ้นแบบในหนังก็อาจถ่าย 24fps แล้วใช้ ND เพื่อให้ shutter speed ต่ำลง ซึ่งถือว่าดีกว่า Sony a7sii ที่ผมใช้อยู่ fullHD 60fps จะคุณภาพแย่ลงจาก fullHD 24fps อย่างค่อนข้างเห็นได้ชัด ต้องมาคอยตัดสินใจว่าถ้าไม่ทำ slow motion แน่ๆก็ถ่าย 24fps เพื่อให้ได้คุณภาพสูงสุด แต่ถ้าไม่แน่ใจก็ต้องถ่าย 60fps ไปก่อนแต่ก็ต้องยอมเสียคุณภาพไป
ส่วน fullHD 120fps ใน iphone 12 ก็ยิ่งน่าทึ่ง เรียกว่าคุณภาพพอๆกับ fullHD 120fps ใน Sony a7sii ของผมเลย :0 ไม่น่าเชื่อมากๆว่าจะได้คุณภาพขนาดนี้ เรียกว่าใช้งานได้จริงๆเลย แถมเวลาถ่าย 120fps ก็ไม่ต้อง crop เข้าไปด้วย
แต่สำหรับ 240fps นั้นคงต้องบอกว่าผมไม่น่าจะใช้อีก 555 ยกเว้นถ้าต้องเก็บภาพ super slow motion จริงๆ เพราะคุณภาพเรียกว่าค่อยข้างแย่พอสมควรเลย นอกจากจะไม่คมแล้วแต่ที่แย่คือพวก compression กับ artifact ที่ขึ้นเป็นเส้นเหลี่ยมๆนี้เต็มภาพเลยโดยเฉพาะตามเส้นขอบต่างๆในภาพ :(
