It is difficult to recycle traditional PV modules due to its manufacturing process. Properly processing discarded modules has thus become an important issue. 路透社報導,根據太陽能產業協會 (Solar Energy Industries Association,SEIA) 和風電產業研究機構 Wood Mackenzie 的研究報告,2021 年第一季,美國太陽能光電 (PV) 系統裝機量年增 46%,達到 5GW 以上。報告預計,2021 年美國太陽能裝機量有望增加 24.4GW,較 2020 年大增近 24%。
報導指出,上述數據顯示出,電廠營運商及企業對減碳的關注度大大提升,加上太陽能技術成本下降,使太陽能發電具有足夠競爭力,與傳統化石燃料發電一較高下。
