＃你說英式英文嗎

補習班的英文怎麼說？台灣人說cram school取其填鴨式教育的意思，但是英國人可聽不懂了，因為文化國情和教育概念不一樣，這兒學生不流行填鴨和補習，也沒聽過cram school。

稍微類似的情況是after school club，類似安親、課輔班，有課後一小時讓孩童在學校裡玩一小時的才藝或運動活動或嘗試另一種語言。也有私立的club ，常在大型超市裡租場地當教室（但也不是排排坐的哪種教室，小孩常在裡面使用電腦或亂亂跑），僱請大學生幫孩童輔導英文和數學。

要比較接近課堂上課情境的大概是supplementary school，常指族裔或宗教團體自辦的週末語言班或讀經班（但都稱school)，也有人稱為community school，週間學生們仍去上一般的英國學校。這種學校喜歡強調用和母文化一樣的教學方式（所以....中文教學也多是延用填鴨式教育<--消音）。

以前大英博物館的教育人員把社群語言學校定位為complementary school，這個詞在其他場合和supplementary school經常替換使用。
