2001年來到台灣在榮民總醫院跟天母消防隊實習，基本上那是場「火熱」的洗禮。我爸爸媽媽阿嬤都跟我們講台語，所以我來的時候只會3句非常非常基本的中文。 我所認知的台灣都是從小聽爸媽講的故事，我自以為對台灣很了解，但一到這裡被文化差異徹底衝擊洗禮之後，才知道完全不是想像中那回事。
2001: When I worked as an EMT at Tianmu Fire Station and intern at Veterans General Hospital in Taipei. It was my baptism by fire (sometimes, literally). I arrived in Taiwan knowing only three basic words in Mandarin, I thought I knew Taiwanese culture based off of the stories my parents would tell me, but I was in for a culture shock.

非常感謝這些超讚的朋友，陪伴我成長、讓我避免菜鳥會犯的低級錯誤、教我髒話，哈哈！ 我很懷念那段台灣初體驗的日子。
Thankfully, I had these wonderful people to show me the ropes (heh heh) and rescue me from making many rookie mistakes. (And also, for teaching me tons of bad words in Taiwanese.) I’ll never forget this experience!

Raising Boys Vs Girls are totally different though I try not to raise my kids based on gender .
They deserve the same approach of Parenting .
Whether Its Bella , Tasha , Adam , Noah , Eusoff or Emelia …
They need to be treated equally .
But the teaching techniques need to be modified based on their personalities.

Expose to Everything
Strict but Loving
Daily Routine
Martial Arts
Mandarin School
Pushing them beyond their boundaries
Lots of DIY activities
Qhatam by 6 years Old
Balancing Dunia & Akhirah

PS - The challenge is to give the same commitment, time and effort to all 6 Children .
Lots of sacrifices are surely needed .

I know it sounds funny but teaching wine in mandarin is actually way much harder than in English!🙈

And, gosh I miss on-site class! However virtual is not too bad as I don’t need to clean glasses after the course🤓

這堂葡萄酒的課是新加坡回到phase 2前上的～現在全部都轉成線上課程了，唉喲！還是比較喜歡現場感🍷但線上課程可以睡到比較晚，然後下課也不用洗杯子～ya ~~

（老師的願望都是很小的，譬如學生不要打瞌睡，我講的笑話都會笑之類的）
