My God is So Big and Mighty
“At the end of twelve months he was walking in the royal palace of Babylon. The king spoke and said, Is not this great Babylon, which I have built for the royal dwelling place, by the might of my power and for the glory of my majesty? While the word was in the king’s mouth, a voice came from the sky, saying, “O king Nebuchadnezzar, to you it is spoken: The kingdom has departed from you. You shall be driven from men; and your dwelling shall be with the animals of the field. You shall be made to eat grass as oxen. Seven times shall pass over you, until you know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever he will.” This was fulfilled the same hour on Nebuchadnezzar. He was driven from men, and ate grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of the sky, until his hair had grown like eagles’ feathers, and his nails like birds’ claws.” (Daniel 4:29-33 WEB)
It is extremely sobering to think that this God that has a personal relationship with every believer, “rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever he will.”
God deals with major things like the rise and fall of kingdoms. He speaks to kings and yet He is also taking care of our lives, making sure that we have whatever we need.
““Aren’t two sparrows sold for an assarion coin? Not one of them falls on the ground apart from your Father’s will, but the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Therefore don’t be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows.” (Matthew 10:29-31 WEB)
Not even a cheap sparrow falls to the ground without Abba God noticing. He even knows the exact number of hairs on your head.
The one who sets up kings in the world also takes care of the birds, the flowers, the bees, and me. Wow! God’s power is so vast and His love for His creation is so deep and personal. The one who rules Heaven and earth is a good God.
“Behold, the nations are like a drop in a bucket, and are regarded as a speck of dust on a balance. Behold, he lifts up the islands like a very little thing. Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor its animals sufficient for a burnt offering. All the nations are like nothing before him. They are regarded by him as less than nothing, and vanity. To whom then will you liken God? Or what likeness will you compare to him?” (Isaiah 40:15-18 WEB)
Abba God must be huge because in comparison to Him, the nations put together are just like a drop of water in a bucket.
Have you held a water droplet before and pondered how tiny it is?
It is amazing that someone so big and mighty is so gentle. He lifts up the microscopic-sized islands without destroying them.
If the nations together are like a speck of dust, imagine handling one island—it must be like the size of the smallest microorganism.
To a God like that, whatever you offer Him is intrinsically worthless. It is too tiny and useless to Him, but He does not despise what you give to Him sincerely.
“Yahweh appeared to him by the oaks of Mamre, as he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day. He lifted up his eyes and looked, and saw that three men stood opposite him. When he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself to the earth, and said, “My lord, if now I have found favor in your sight, please don’t go away from your servant. Now let a little water be fetched, wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree. I will get a morsel of bread so you can refresh your heart. After that you may go your way, now that you have come to your servant.” They said, “Very well, do as you have said.”” (Genesis 18:1-5 WEB)
When God took the form of a man and appeared to Abraham, Abraham was pleasantly surprised. He offered bread with water and the Lord accepted the humble offerings.
This huge, powerful God who promotes kings and sets up kingdoms, will not despise your heartfelt worship and acts of faith. Whatever you give to Him, He loves it even though they are intrinsically useless to Him.
Whatever challenge you may be facing now is insignificantly tiny as compared to your God. Have faith—you are much more value than many sparrows!
If you encounter days whereby the enemy’s attacks seem so huge and insurmountable, getting a right perspective from God’s word can change that. In “Messiah’s Miracles: The Power of Having Faith in Jesus Christ”, you will see God’s power and His heart of love, grace, and mercy towards you. Breakthroughs and miracles will happen when you have faith: https://bit.ly/messiahs-miracles

the end of the tiny world 在 Milton Goh Blog and Sermon Notes Facebook 的最佳貼文
Jesus Came to Fulfill, Not to Destroy
““Don’t think that I came to destroy the law or the prophets. I didn’t come to destroy, but to fulfill. For most certainly, I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not even one smallest letter or one tiny pen stroke shall in any way pass away from the law, until all things are accomplished.” (Matthew 5:17-18 WEB)
Even though I write that we are not supposed to keep the Law of Moses today, I am not calling the Law evil or making it seem like something bad.
The Law shows God’s holiness, revealing that only perfection is acceptable to God. Anything short of God’s glory is unrighteous.
Jesus did not come to destroy the Law. He didn’t say, “Oh Israel, I guess this is too hard for you to keep. It’s okay, let Me snap My fingers and cancel this Law. Let’s forget about it okay?”
No, Jesus came to fulfill the Law on our behalf. The requirements of the Law can be summed up by the following verse:
“Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul who sins, he shall die.” (Ezekiel 18:4 WEB)
Sin is a crime that demands the penalty of death. God is holy, so He must punish sin.
However, God also loves us, so how can He spare us and yet justly punish sin?
The answer is the cross. God the Father placed all our sins upon His Son Jesus Christ, and punished Him fully in our place, so that the wages of sin which the Law requires was fully paid by Jesus’ death. The divine, sinless blood which He shed is worth much more than all the sins of the world throughout the passage of time.
So for us who have faith in Jesus, the issue of sin is settled. We are forgiven. He has fulfilled the Law’s requirements on our behalf, making us righteous.
However, the Law will not pass away until God creates a new Heaven and new earth at the end of time. The Law still has a purpose to be met.
“For there is no partiality with God. For as many as have sinned without law will also perish without the law. As many as have sinned under the law will be judged by the law. For it isn’t the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law will be justified (for when Gentiles who don’t have the law do by nature the things of the law, these, not having the law, are a law to themselves, in that they show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience testifying with them, and their thoughts among themselves accusing or else excusing them) in the day when God will judge the secrets of men, according to my Good News, by Jesus Christ.” (Romans 2:11-16 WEB)
At the Great White Throne judgment, Jesus will sit as judge, and the unbelievers will be judged based on their conscience if they are Gentiles, and by the Law (Ten Commandments) if they are Jews.
Jesus has record books of their works, and will measure out the appropriate degree of punishment before they are cast into the lake of fire. Each unsaved soul will experience a different level of torment based on the works they have done in their lifetime. Of course, the one screaming the loudest will be Satan.
“I saw a great white throne, and him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. There was found no place for them. I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and they opened books. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged out of the things which were written in the books, according to their works. The sea gave up the dead who were in it. Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them. They were judged, each one according to his works. Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. If anyone was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire.” (Revelation 20:11-15 WEB)
After that final judgment, when all humans, fallen angels, and Nephilim giants have been judged and sentenced to their appropriate eternal abodes, then the Law will pass away. At that point in time, all things will be accomplished, and eternity will begin. Christ shall reign supreme and be all in all.
For us who believe, the future is bright. Read this passage which will happen after the Law has passed away:
“I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth have passed away, and the sea is no more. I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband. I heard a loud voice out of heaven saying, “Behold, God’s dwelling is with people, and he will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away from them every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more. The first things have passed away.”” (Revelation 21:1-4 WEB)

Taiwan Can Achieve More,
But It Takes Bilingualism
Among all sustaining forces, what Taiwan lacks most is the force of language. When people talk about a country’s competitiveness, most likely the main benchmarks are the military force, wealth force, technology force or even cultural force. The concept of“Force of Language”rarely came into mind. But in fact, linguistic capability is one of the key factors that can make or break a country in the long run , if not in the short.
Examples are plenty. Take the tiny country of Singapore as a sample. Its existence and survival rests upon its capacity in applying and managing multi-lingual resources. Without that force of language, it can’t possibly thrive in a geographical setting as complex as this – with Malaysia on the north, Indonesia on the South-West, India to the West, and, particularly, the landmass of China up north. Geography is both a blessing and a curse to the country of Singapore, but its multi-linguistic capacity is a pure blessing. Without it, Singapore would still have been a trading center in that region and there is no way for it to have become one of the worldwide financial centers as today.
Hong Kong, in the past tense, also benefited tremendously from its bilingualism. By comparison, the mighty city of Shanghai in China will never replace the economic role Hong Kong used to play for China. I remember a sharp comment made by the past Premier of Singapore, Mr. Lee Kuan Yew. Many years ago when visiting Taiwan, he was asked this question by a reporter : “Can you foresee Shanghai replacing Hong Kong one day“? “Never!”was Lee’s reply. “Why?” Here comes the issue of the force of language, “Because I simply can’t see that the Shanghainese can speak better English than the Hong Kong people”. End of discussion.
Taiwan is good at technology as well as in many other aspects. It produces over 50% of the high-end semiconductor chips for the world’s high-end industrial and military uses, and it also designs at least 25% of the chips for world’s daily electronic devices. Which means, should Taiwan’s economic activities be disrupted by a hostile party , or even worse, should the island country fall under a hostile party’s control, as a consequence, the entire world would be affected severely, even to the point of functionally inoperative.
On top of that, Taiwan is ingenious in meeting unconventional demands for outlandish components. The most apparent case would be that of the birth of Tesla. When Elon Musk couldn’t get designers and factories from other parts of the world to risk making his non-heard-of components, he came to Taiwan and found willing and capable suppliers. Without the ingenuity of Taiwan’s able engineers, Tesla’s EV could have been delayed for many more years and might even have missed its first-to-market timing.
In the political arena, Taiwan has been firmly placed in the first tier among countries of democracy. To be fair, Taiwanese citizens still stand eager for eliminating the residual, inherited authoritarian elements in its political system; however, from a global standpoint, the mere presence of this remaining endeavor, by itself, proves that Taiwan has already passed the point of no return of an evolving democratic country.
In any aspect, Taiwan should have received a much higher level of acknowledgement from the international community than what it gets now. It makes people wonder why it didn’t.
Sure, one can blame the “Cut-Taiwan-off-the-World” program that the neighboring CCP (Chinese Communist Party) exercised. But blaming is not productive, not in everyday life nor in politics. We need self-assertive solutions much more than airing complaints.
Citizens in Taiwan need to be able to speak out for Taiwan, not waiting for others to speak for it. To speak out to the world, you need languages! Presently, over 90% of the citizens on this island write and speak in just one language : the written Mandarin Character and the spoken Mandarin plus dialects.
This causes consequences in two-folds. On the political side, when Taiwan citizens shout in Mandarin, only people who understand Mandarin in other parts of the world can know what Taiwan is shouting for. Sadly, 96% of those who understand are under the firewall enclosure in China. Furthermore, Taiwanese messages are being censored, twisted and manipulated by the CCP in order to prevent its subjects from hearing it.
On the economy side, although the top-layer of the academics, businessmen and technical elites are all quite proficient with a second language, mostly English or Japanese, the majority of the able engineers and middle managers in Taiwan cannot communicate efficiently enough to bring out their personal or organizational potentials.
It’s such an obvious yet ignored national issue : Taiwan needs bilingualism for its political sustainability and economic prosperity. A thriving bilingualism in Taiwan can be achieved by flipping its mentality towards education, or by changing its attitudes towards “outsiders” and installing a more open-minded immigration policy.
Either way, Taiwan must implement a bold and innovative approach to this “force of language” challenge. And that approach can start today. Are you ready? Yes, I meant YOU!

English Lyrics :
Am I still in the glum nightmare?
Or am I mere stoned?
Tiny bit of reason still remains in my right hand
That power of ache will just keep me alive
Can't touch nothing 'bout the world
But the truth almost has revealed
Then smash out the future told
It's time to end these miseries
Latch off my vagus nerve
What color is my blood...Red, black or white?
Now I'm getting ready
Oh, where are my frenemies?
If I got to lose control
Will you kill me first?
Deep rooted anger still remains in my right hand
That power of ache will just keep me alive
Can't touch nothing 'bout the world
But the truth almost has revealed
Then smash out the future told
It's time to end these miseries
Latch off my vagus nerve
What color is my blood...Red, black or white?
Now I'm getting ready
Oh, where are my frenemies?
Have I gone so mad?
The pain's through my blood
Can't touch nothing 'bout the world
But the truth almost has revealed
Then smash out the future told
It's time to end these miseries
Latch off my vagus nerve
What color is my blood...Red, black or white?

Chinese Lyrics :

There is a tiny mistake in the video. "Despise their heaven, for you I'd go to hell." not "I'll go to hell"
It's our fault that we didn't catch it earlier. Our apology.
Full Lyrics:
Hey I live next door, just stop by and say hi. Bonjour. Oh hi, I like your dress, welcome to the neighborhood. My darling, here you are. Let me introduce, that’s Mrs. Su. Your sister is adorable. No she’s not my sister we are together.
A change in her face. Her eyes have gone red. As if the world comes to an end.
She grabs her necklace, mumbles some phrases. And shouts at me about her faith.
Their hearts are full of hatred. Without any forgiveness. No lights can be shed (be shed)
If it means I'm the demon, I’ll keep it to myself.
Despise their heaven, for you I’d go to hell

We ran into her 9 year old. My mom said I shouldn’t come close or I will catch your flaws. She said not even god can save your souls. You two look nice though I want you to have my doll. Take care of her. Oh that’s my mom I should really go.
A change in her face. Her eyes have gone red. As if the world comes to an end.
She grabs her necklace, mumbles some phrases. And shouts at me about her faith.
Their hearts are full of hatred. Without any forgiveness. No lights can be shed (be shed)

the end of the tiny world 在 Travel Thirsty Youtube 的精選貼文
The Tsukiji Market (築地市場 Tsukiji shijō), supervised by the Tokyo Metropolitan Central Wholesale Market (東京都中央卸売市場 Tōkyō-to Chūō Oroshiuri Shijō) of the Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Industrial and Labor Affairs, is the biggest wholesale fish and seafood market in the world and also one of the largest wholesale food markets of any kind.
The market is located in Tsukiji in central Tokyo, between the Sumida River and the upmarket Ginza shopping district. While the inner wholesale market has restricted access to visitors, the outer retail market, restaurants and associated restaurant supply stores remain a major tourist attraction for both domestic and overseas visitors.
The market handles more than 400 different types of seafood from cheap seaweed to the most expensive caviar, and from tiny sardines to 300 kg tuna and controversial whale species. Overall, more than 700,000 metric tons of seafood are handled every year at the three seafood markets in Tokyo, with a total value in excess of 600 billion yen (approximately 5.9 billion US dollars on November 24, 2013). The number of registered employees as of 25 January 2010 varies from 60,000 to 65,000, including wholesalers, accountants, auctioneers, company officials, and distributors.
The market opens most mornings (except Sundays, holidays and some Wednesdays) at 3:00 a.m. with the arrival of the products by ship, truck and plane from all over the world. Particularly impressive is the unloading of tons of frozen tuna. The auction houses (wholesalers known in Japanese as oroshi gyōsha) then estimate the value and prepare the incoming products for the auctions. The buyers (licensed to participate in the auctions) also inspect the fish to estimate which fish they would like to bid for and at which price.
The auctions start around 5:20 a.m. Bidding can only be done by licensed participants. These bidders include intermediate wholesalers (nakaoroshi gyōsha) who operate stalls in the marketplace and other licensed buyers who are agents for restaurants, food processing companies, and large retailers.
The auctions usually end around 10:00 a.m. Afterward, the purchased fish is either loaded onto trucks to be shipped to the next destination or on small carts and moved to the many shops inside the market. There the shop owners cut and prepare the products for retail. In case of large fish, for example tuna and swordfish, cutting and preparation is elaborate. Frozen tuna and swordfish are often cut with large band saws, and fresh tuna is carved with extremely long knives.
The Tsukiji fish market occupies valuable real estate close to the center of the city. Former Tokyo Governor Shintaro Ishihara repeatedly called for moving the market to Toyosu, Koto. The long-anticipated move to the new market will take place in November 2016, in preparation for the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics.
