My kids are supposed to go to bed at 9:30pm every night. But, they never do. Even if they go into their bedroom by that time, which is rare, they will be chatting or playing till they are too tired before they finally fall asleep.

We made an impromptu decision to dance tonight when they should be sleeping and ended up doing it for over half an hour because it was just so, so fun! #真不知道这个妈妈在想什么 #toostressedfromsoloparenting

Yup, it's been a while since I posted a video of our dancing so here it is. Swipe to the end for a surprise ending but be warned that their laughter is quite loud! I had no idea what we were dancing half the time yet when I looked back, it was plain to see everyone was happy and that matters most to me.

After the dance, we still read bedtime stories to wind down before finally going to bed. Oh well, I am indeed so terrible at routines yet I think this no-routine lifestyle works best for our family. That said, tomorrow still must wake up early. Haha. But we will.

Happy hump day, everybody!

P.S. They do take a short afternoon nap and so do I, if I can.I find it helps us to recharge before they wake up to do their homework or I start to make dinner. No right or wrong, just whatever works best for you!

P.P.S. Why was Meimei the one who piggybacked Jiejie? Cos' it was a couple dance and the big sister wanted to be the girl so the little sister gallantly said she will dance the boy part. Awwww. She is an awesome little sister for sure.
