Lengthy post but here’s childbirth in a nutshell for me.
Contractions started at 2.30am, thought it was a tummy ache, pooped like 3-4 times 💩, realised after it isn’t just a tummyache and it was really contractions.(By the way I think my water bag broke at this period and it probably trickled like pee so I had no clue, there wasn’t some drama story of water bag breaking in public lol)

Admitted to the hospital at 4.30am, turns out I’m 3-4cm dilated already but epidural couldn’t be administered as they couldn’t really feel her heartbeat. As epidural causes babies to be sleepy, they won’t give it to me till they feel it being constant. (I knew she was okay, you know that mama gut feeling, she was just hiding way too low in my cervix)

Finally at 6.30am, I got the epidural and I was SCREAMING in pain that the doctor had to give me painkillers before my epidural. Got it, finally, and the pushing started at 8am ish? I was 8-9cm at 6.30am already!!!

It was kinda intense cuz I don’t know (as I was half numbed) if I was pushing the baby out, or holding her in. So almost an hour of pushing the nurse said if I don’t push her out they may use vacuum/forceps. And then.... I freaked.

In my head I didn’t want her head to be weird, so I started thinking to myself, IMMMMAAA SHIT THIS BABY OUT literally cuz that’s what they say to push the baby out! “Think of it as if you want to shit!!”

Lol. And by 9.23am, she’s out, I’m mad ass tired, physically and mentally, and I still can’t believe I pushed Gemma out of my vayjayjay.

But hey, here’s a 13 day post partum body shot because, life is that realistic, I am trying to get my body back in shape. Please don’t judge. 😕
