糖尿病分為一型及二型,一型患者因自體免疫問題令身體無法製造足夠胰島素;而較多人患上的二型糖尿,一般發生在中年或較年長人士身上,多與肥胖有關,不良飲食習慣令胰臟工作過度,或壓力大令壓力荷爾蒙過度分泌,造成胰島素阻抗而患上糖尿病。如果你有5個或以上風險成因,就要注意身體症狀,定期進行身體檢查,戒除不良飲食習慣,讓糖尿病離你越來越遠。

Consuming too much sugar can lead to diabetes? Drinking sweet drinks regularly can increase your risk of getting diabetes? Are you at risk for diabetes?
Let’s take a look at risk factors:
☐ Having irregular meals
☐ Lack of coarse grains in diets
☐ Sweet tooth
☐ Feel dizzy when hungry
☐ Enjoy smoking and drinking alcohol
☐ Lack of exercise
☐ Stressful work
☐ Obesity, BMI exceeds 25
☐ Lack of sleep/insomnia
☐ Hereditary
☐ Aged 45 and above
☐ High blood pressure and cholesterol
☐ Gestational diabetes
There are two types of diabetes mellitus: type 1 and type 2. Type 1 patients cannot produce sufficient insulin due to the problems with their immune system. Type 2, which is more common, normally happens to elderly folks.
Type 2 diabetes is also associated with obesity and unhealthy dietary habits, which cause the pancreas to overwork. Excessive secretion of stress hormone, too, can inhibit the secretion of insulin, which in turn leads to diabetes.
If these risk factors seem familiar to you, then you should start paying attention to your health and go for regular body check-ups. Getting rid of all the unhealthy eating and drinking habits is the best preventive measure to keep diabetes at bay.

Now that Sasa is six weeks old, we've really been able to experience the joy of have two baby girls with Kali adapting wonderfully to her older sister duties. Even though we're all stuck in the house, we don't really feel like we've had to make too many adjustments because even from our pregnancy we've been pretty much working from home. Exercising has always been a part of our daily lives, so we just picked up where we left off since being pregnant.

For the daily life of a mother of two at home, outside of nursing bras, I'm just wearing "hold me bra" instead of anything else. It's wireless, sweat absorbent, and quick-drying perfect for hanging around the house. If I wanna do more intense exercises and stretching, I'll switch over to the "sporty bra," which depending on my mode, I'll either go for a reversible racerback or a cute forest green criss-cross bra so I can switch off for laundry cycles... You know how much laundry backlog new mommas have... I'm all for looking good, exercising to feel good, especially in my matching periwinkle set, perfect for sleepwear/exercise wear. After this lockdown, I can't wait to sport these cute clothes out and about around the city.

Consider the following:
Based on your genetic results, you have an even split between power, endurance and strength. You could benefit from training evenly across these training types.
For muscle development use high volumes at low intensities such as sets of 15-20 reps with 60 seconds rest completed 3 times. Engage in steady state training to develop fitness, an example of this is continuous cardiovascular exercise such as cycling or running for 30 minutes or more.
About Optimal Training Type
Evidence shows that how we respond to exercise is influenced by genetics. It won't be the whole picture alone, but it will be a part of the picture. Variations in our genetic profile can help explain why some people see a better response to different types of exercise. Following a genetically-guided exercise program has shown up to three fold improvements in training compared to genetically mismatched training.
Remember
This is a look at how your genetic profile might affect the rate at which you respond to different intensities of exercise, this should not be used to change your goal, but may help better personalise your most effective route to achieving that goal.

Today we have a full upper body workout targeting your arms, back, chest and shoulders! For those lucky enough to have gyms still open to them, this is a perfect workout for you!
Grab a set of light to medium dumbbells to push your body for 8-12 reps. It should feel difficult by the last few reps of each exercise, that's when you know you've chosen the right weight for the exercise. If you don't have any dumbbells, try to find alternatives to use at home.
This is a 45 min - 1 hour workout depending on your rest times and number of sets. Do this 3 times a week along with your other workouts, cardio and strict dieting, to help achieve your fat loss & muscle building goals. If you do this properly, this will help with your body transformation, build a lean and defined upper body in 8-12 weeks!
