教育是改變非洲的方式之一，而在拜訪各個學校當中，我們也看見了不同的需求。
“你有幾隻鉛筆？”
小男孩臉上掛著微笑的說：“我有兩隻筆！”
轉頭後我才發現，原來班上許多人連一支筆都沒有。
“你們沒有筆的話要怎麼寫功課？”
孩子們笑著說：“其他同學和老師會借我們，寫完字後我們再還給回去。”
他們擁有的或許不多，但是他們卻懂得分享自己手上的一點。
我相信教育能改變世界；但不只是書本知識的教育，而是教導我們去愛、去分享的生命教育。

備註：當 玉兔鉛筆學校得知這個故事後，他們默默的寄出一千隻鉛筆讓我們下個月一起帶往非洲的旅途。
Education is one way to change Africa, and in the process of visiting schools, we’ve come across different needs.
“How many pens do you have?” I asked
“I have two!” the boy answered with a big grin on his face.
I turned around and realized that most of the students in the class didn’t even have one.
“So how do you guys do your school work if you don’t have a pen?” I asked
The children smiled and said “We borrow one from other students or the teacher and then give it back when we’re done writing.”
They might not have much, but they know how to share the little bits that they do have. I believe education can change the world; not just the education of book knowledge, but the education of sharing and loving others with the little bits we have.
