Maison de L’HUI at Julu Road is an English-style three-storey villa at the center of Yanzhong Green Land. The villa was built in 1923 by Xi Xipan, father of Xi Lusheng who was the chief comprador of Citibank in China. The villa was later acquired by Du Yuesheng, a prominent personality of Shanghai, and became a venue for parties of celebrities. Now, the villa has become an Excellent Heritage Building. It seems especially elegant and dignified with its red roof tile and brick wall, its classical columns and French veranda. Inside the building, the colorful glass and the spiraling wooden stairs, among other details, tell its glorious past and prominent history which creates immense charm and mystery.
