[ New Watercolor Edge by PS ] 簡易PS水彩邊緣
前陣子又設定出一款非常簡單的水彩邊緣！這次只要設定好「圖層樣式」就可以複製圖層後快速使用，塗出來的效果也比之前的方法更明顯更好操作，修改也方便！+(ゝ∀･)b

Tip: Set the layer style once. And when you want to drawing Watercolor Edge, just duplicating the layer for drawing is more convinent!

黃花風鈴木 Golden Trumpet-tree
水彩 watercolor, 100*65 cm

這張作品是這兩年來的第一張直式風景靜物畫。花朵的層次排列，色彩的質感，整體的造型安排，在具象裡摺疊了抽象的感覺。畫完後隔天再看這幅畫，似乎又回到了三月風鈴木盛開的季節。BTW：可以欣賞局部的質感之美。謝謝~

This is my first vertical work this two years. The arrangement of flowers ,the texture of color and the design of shape create a sort of abstract sense in my work. This picture makes me recall the season when Golden Trumpet-tree bloomed.

Somewhat experimental illustration this time.
I wanted to do something based on the cute Arakawa tram line that runs through Tokyo. This is the only remaining Tokyo tram - the line is made from pieces of other, already closed lines.

We went with Kana to do some location hunting walking the whole length of the line and taking many, many pictures in 2017 and I wanted to make something with them since. Recently, I also wanted to try a little bit more simple, illustration-like style of drawing and to practice drawing and designing characters. I decided to use the photos we took to make this illustration including one of the places we photographed and also some characters inspired by the people we saw.

The lines in this piece are done using a LAMY Safari M fountain pen with the Sailor Sei-Boku dark blue ink. the pen works surprisingly well on watercolor paper and the pigment-based ink is waterproof which makes it possible to paint over it with watercolors!

* Colors: My 50 colors Schmincke Horadam set
* Paper: Fabriano Artistico Traditional White F6 300g Cold Press

I finally finished all the watercolor illustrations for my “Tokyo Storefronts” album so I had a little bit of time to spare before starting on another project - a storyboard for a short commercial animation.

I decided to paint something different than usual - a car. I collected quite a few photos of interesting and vintage cars on my iPhone while walking around Tokyo so I just picked one. It’s a Honda Life 3-door Van / Wagon made between 1971-74.

Because I took several pictures from different angles I decided to paint the front and back.

I used the cold press Heritage paper for this one because I wanted to try out the samples I got from Canson recently. I must say that I like my usual Waterford better though - the surface of the Heritage is much softer so it does not handle pencils, erasing and my isograph pen so well. For watercolor itself it’s really good though.

paper: Canson Heritage cold press watercolor paper
