I get asked a lot about my diet plans and what's the best workout to go for in order to stay in shape. There are way too many theories when it comes to fitness, I can't tell you exactly what's the best but I could share some of my experiences with you guys :
1. I am not the kind of person who has a strict diet plan, I always believe in having a balance diet. With a hectic and constantly on the go schedule, it is almost impossible for me to eat clean at all times. Instead, I try to fit in at least a healthy meal per day. There are some days that I'd eat healthy, some days that I'd binge. To me, it's all about keeping things in moderation. Especially if I've had a crazy workout, I want to be able to sleep well and eat well. Life is too short to be counting calories! And I love my rice too much 🍙🍚🍣
2. People tend to set goals and resolutions that are somehow related to fitness and health. This is great but the chances of sticking to those resolutions is a fifty fifty. Instead of setting fitness as a goal, try turning it into a part of your lifestyle, a healthy habit that you practice everyday.
3. I always put healthy living and fitness as my priority. It is more effective to set your priorities straight to achieve the ideal healthy lifestyle based on your daily living. All it takes is just a little bit of organisation and time management.
4. Consistency is key. Try not to look for reasons to not exercise and find ways to. Like waking up earlier 👅
5. My main exercise routine involves a lot of spinning, strength and conditioning. I prefer doing high intensity workouts, occasionally some hot Pilates/yoga to balance it out. I might not be the most patient person when it comes to yoga, but I'm trying!
6. If you're new to fitness, I suggest you can pick a variation of workouts, go for trials, see if you're comfortable and how your body reacts to it!
7. Spending hours in the gym is not the only way to get fit. When It comes to being active, there are different sports that I feel like everyone should try at least once. Keeping a give it a go attitude to explore what you could be good at is always good. It's also a way of keeping your interest in being active.
