This is a salt-lick. A very important area for herbivores and other animals, where they get their mineral supplements. This place is Sira Air Panas, and its special because the salt-lick is in the hot spring in the middle of the jungle. It smells of Sulfur (busuk!). There are 7 salt-licks or Sira here in this area alone in Ulu Muda, one of the very few places that has this.
When we got here, there were tyre marks that went through this area! How?! Why?! If this continues, the animals will not come here and eventually lose out on the minerals they need and eventually die aka extinct.
