To express without baby’s latch is really challenging. But I’m grateful to those who shared their tips, videos, and one particular nurse (Fazilah) in NICU who is taking care of our lil sweetheart. I wanted to have the lactation nurse to watch (me) if I’m doing it right bcs I wasn’t been able to yield excellent volume according to baby’s needs. But bcs the PIC was off, Fazilah agreed to help. She shared with me the technique and what works for her and most importantly, it’s very relaxing and not painful at all. ❤️
Initially I thought I was going to miss this chance (to harvest the colostrum) since baby was not with me and I wasn’t performing up to expectation. When I asked for guidance from the lactation nurse in my ward, all I rmber was how hard she squeeze my nipples n I was alr on the verge of crying. 😭 She told me this is the way to do and that’s the pain level I need to meet. 😵💫😵🤯🤬🥵😡 So I just did exactly what she said and for the first few days of “stimulation exercise”, I was in so much pain n misery. 🙇🏻♀️ It was hell of a torture 🧨💣🔪💥🔥and it makes me wonder why do mothers have to go through such suffering when the body were still recovering from the horrific labor pain; mentally and physically 🤒
But really, thanks God for sending us Fazilah just when we need it the most ❤️🔥❤️🩹💓
Bae visits the hospital daily. Already very popular among the guards and NICU staff 😅 He was always there to bring me things I need (and don’t need eg: sinful snacks) to make sure I have a pleasant stay. 🥰 He’ll push me on wheelchair all the way from my ward to baby’s at NICU. And we’ll both spend our quality time with our lil sweetheart 👶🏻. And you’re right, I don’t rmber the pain anymore when I see her, but if u ask if I’m ready for No.2, I can firmly tell you, I AM NOT LAH 😅😂🤣
I was ideally, expecting for natural birth VAB so I don’t risk for any complications or them touching my existing scars but 𝙄𝙏 𝘿𝙄𝘿𝙉’𝙏 𝙃𝘼𝙋𝙋𝙀𝙉.. CSEC on my midline scar with 100% epidural 💢
I was ideally, expecting for 10cm dilation, so I practiced an active lifestyle throughout pregnancy with hiking, swimming and walking but 𝙄𝙏 𝘿𝙄𝘿𝙉’𝙏 𝙃𝘼𝙋𝙋𝙀𝙉.. I have to endure 6 hours of contraction pain and labor still did not happen, hence, emergency C - SEC 🆘
I was ideally, expecting ok maybe if it end up with CSEC, it’ll be a fast and smooth surgery like cancer days and just recuperate at home for 2 weeks and I’ll be back on my feet again but 𝙄𝙏 𝘿𝙄𝘿𝙉’𝙏 𝙃𝘼𝙋𝙋𝙀𝙉.. I end up have to be readmitted due to infection and inflammation on my incision with on/off fever and was constantly in severe pain despite being prescribed pain killer 💊
I was ideally, expecting baby will be home with me right after birth but 𝙄𝙏 𝘿𝙄𝘿𝙉’𝙏 𝙃𝘼𝙋𝙋𝙀𝙉.. little did I expect, she’ll be admitted to NICU for Congenital Pneumonia and Jaundice (this is well aware bcs both of us are O+) 🩸
Yes, as I’m writing this, I’m back in the hospital (again) but feeling much better; 𝒃𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓 not because of the 100 positive things that has happened. ⚠️ 𝘽𝙪𝙩 𝙗𝙘𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙊𝙉𝙀 𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙣 𝙙𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙩𝙚 99 𝙣𝙚𝙜𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙧𝙪𝙞𝙣 𝙞𝙩. ㊗️ This time, I’m referring to my colostrum harvesting! They’re all hand express 😜 I am not born strong but I choose to learn on how to be one. I know how tough pregnancy n motherhood journey can be but I choose to ride on it bcs that’s exactly what I wanted. 𝙄’𝙢 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙮 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙖 𝙛𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙮. 👨👩👦 It’s definitely tough, and sometimes one might feels like giving up but I’m thankful n grateful to have a very supportive n understanding husband and fam. It makes the journey less lonely and more encouraging ❤️
Now I understand why we need to 𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙈𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧’𝙨 𝘿𝙖𝙮 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙪𝙢 𝙗𝙪𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙧𝙤𝙩𝙞 𝙠𝙤𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙁𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧’𝙨 𝘿𝙖𝙮 😂😂😂
P/S: Baby and Mummy will continue to be admitted until further notice 🚸

WHY the Fat Loss Challenge
📍First let me share something with u, I had abdominal surgery a few months ago. I mostly stayed home to rest for the first 2-3 months & haven’t exercised since then.
📍As a result
I have ⬆️weight ⬆️body fat ⬆️stress
& ⬇️muscle ⬇️mood ⬇️strength
📍After several months of no exercise and being fully recovered, I kept telling myself that I’d get back into shape. “Oh I’ll do it tomorrow” was always the excuse. I would then get upset at myself for lacking the drive. Sound familiar?
📍So I’m joining the fat loss challenge to give myself that extra push 💪🏻
📍Stay tuned & follow me on my adventure 😉

Hi my wiggly jiggly jungle papaya monkey beans!
So this is my 100th video, and since many people have requested a video without any make-up and without circle lenses, I decided to do it in this one! ♥
★UPDATE★ In this blog post I described how the massage works and what small face in japan means! http://www.venusangelic.com/2012/08/small-face.html
In this video I'm showing you guys how to get a smaller face by doing massages and exercises! ♥ I think, this is one of my tutorials that need the fewest "ingredients" or "tools". So why not give it a try? ;) Tell me on Twitter @VenusAngelic when you tried it and how your face feels after the exercises and massages!
Every morning, right after getting out of the bed, I splash my face with cold water 5 times, followed by this exercise routine! Not only that it helps aesthetically, but also helps to fresh up my mind! Some of the exercises are from japanese magazines for teenage girls, some from japanese TV shows, but most of them are my own creations. haha♥
I know that many of you wiggly jiggly jungle papaya monkey beans don't like my voice and my accent. I'm very sorry! But I want you to know, that I will never be able to talk like a British or American person! Because I'm not British/American nor was I raised in english speaking environment. I had to teach myself english in primary school 4th grade, because the teacher didn't do english classes and I didn't want to be a dumbo! D :
My Nationality:
No I'm not swedish, russian, japanese, german etc.
I'm half Swiss and half Hungarian. I was born and raised in Switzerland, so my mother tongue is Swiss-German (also called low-german). I don't know how to speak Hungarian.
Languages I speak: Swiss-German (Kanton Aargau), German, English, Spanish (I lived in teneriffe 3 years) and Japanese. I live in London since about 9 months. I have strong accent because I still speak swiss german with my mom everyday. Swiss German is very different from high german. Let me show you an example.
English: I want a cookie.
German: Ich will einen Keks.
Swiss German: Ech wott äs Guetzli.

Shaquille O'Neal, the man with four rings, 28,596 career points and scores of nicknames, has finally decided to call it quits, ending one of the most colorful careers in NBA history that will surely culminate with a Hall of Fame induction.
O'Neal, 39, officially announced his retirement Wednesday using the new social media tool Tout, a real-time video messaging service.
"Once a businesman, always a businessman," O'Neal said, smiling. "I am the emperor of the social media network. Why text when you can Tout?"
O'Neal signed a two-year contract with the Boston Celtics last summer but a persistent Achilles injury will prevent him from fulfilling the terms of the deal. O'Neal first injured his right Achilles on Christmas Day and was able to play only in two of the final 35 games of the regular season.
On April 3 against Detroit, O'Neal returned to the court after a two-month absence and scored six points in a spirited 5 minutes and 29 seconds before coming up lame and limping off the floor. Although his injury was listed as a strained calf, O'Neal said it was the Achilles flaring up again.
"I felt like someone had shot me in the back of my leg," he said.
O'Neal did not play again in the regular season. He sat out the New York Knicks playoff series then tried to return in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against his old team, the Miami Heat. O'Neal logged 8 1/2 minutes in the 97-81 victory but woke up in considerable pain the next morning. His final game was two days later, when he toiled for three minutes of Game 4 before Celtics coach Doc Rivers pulled him for good.
In the final weeks of the the playoffs, O'Neal, over the objections of team physician Brian McKeon, had "more than five" cortisone shots in his Achilles in an attempt to play against the Heat.
"Doc (McKeon) kept telling me, 'No, no,' but I wanted to play so badly," O'Neal said. "My feeling was, 'If it ruptures, it ruptures.' The Celtics were so good to me I wanted to do everything I could to get back on the court for them."
Throughout his time on the sideline, Shaq said, he continued to do rehab as well as work on the treadmill and the exercise bike. He swam each evening at the Thoreau Club in Concord and shot a number of late-night free throws in at the Lincoln-Sudbury High School gymnasium across the street from his rented Sudbury home. He lost 35 pounds and was "feeling great everywhere except for that one little spot behind my heel."
Shaq said McKeon recommended surgery that would "clean up" the area around the Achilles, but O'Neal revealed the recovery time would be close to nine months.
"I really, really thought about coming back," he said, "but this Achilles is very damaged and if I had it done the recovery would be so long we'd have same outcome as this last year -- everyone sitting around and waiting for me.
"I didn't want to let people down two years in a row. I didn't want to hold Boston hostage again.
"I'm letting everybody know now so Danny (Ainge) and the organization can try to get younger talent. I would love to come back, but they say once the Achilles is damaged it's never the same. I don't want to take that chance."
O'Neal said his final months in Boston included some of the darkest days of his career because "I just hated to let the city of Boston down. I really grew to love the place. Everyone was so welcoming to me and treated me so great. They believed in me and they took care of me, especially the great people of Sudbury. I love that town."
O'Neal also had effusive praise for Rivers, whom, he said, was "one of the best I ever played for."
"I thought Doc was fabulous," O'Neal said. "He stressed 'team' all the time, never wavered on that. He kept everyone together. He's an amazing coach. I want to congratulate him on his five years (extension).
"He deserves it. He loves the organization, loves the players, and we all love him back."
O'Neal is acutely aware the Celtics posted a record of 21-4 when he was able to play 20 or more minutes this season. The chemistry he shared with the Big Three (Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen) and Rajon Rondo, he said, will be an enduring memory, leaving him to wonder what would have happened had he stayed healthy.
"We were supposed to win this year but 'supposed' doesn't count," he said. "The path was there for us. All the so-called super powers were gone -- LA, San Antonio. I really feel if I was on the court we would have done it, but I don't believe in 'ifs.' "
O'Neal said he wasn't prepared yet to reminisce about his long and prolific career, which produced three championships with the Lakers and one with the Heat. "Let's save that for the press conference on Friday," said O'Neal, who will hold that media event at his Isleworth home.
