God is Not Like Man

Look how the religious leaders of Israel had murder in their hearts but were unable to do it because they were restricted by the Law.

They keep the Law outwardly just for the public eye, and looked for ways to get around the Law to execute their murderous schemes.

While they looked for any loophole to commit murder, God used His infinite wisdom and knowledge to find a way to save mankind.

Under the Law, God said that the soul who sins must die. In Paul’s words, “the wages of sin is death”.

There was only one way for us to be saved because we cannot fulfill the demands of the Law by ourselves. Someone else must die in our place as a substitute.

This person must be a member of mankind, sinless, and his life has to be worthy enough to pay for all the sins of the world.

That is why the only begotten Son of God had to become a man, bleed, and die as our atoning sacrifice for sins.

Today, we are saved, blessed, and favored by God not because of our own obedience towards the Law, but because of the shed blood of Jesus Christ. His sinless, divine blood is a massive overpayment for all our sin debts, purchasing every spiritual blessing of God for us.

I read someone write that “your sin can hinder your prayers”. If that were true, then no Christians would have any answered prayers because we still fail God daily, in thoughts and deeds. We may not be able to live a completely sinless life, but thankfully our prayers are answered based on Jesus’ obedience at the cross. His shed blood is the only reason why we can always enjoy God’s favor.

Let no one deceive you that sin is causing God to ignore your prayers. If God is omniscient, then He already knew all the sins you would commit in your life, and He still chose to let Jesus bear the punishment for your sins at the cross.

What hinders us from receiving God’s promises today is only unbelief. When you have a bad opinion of God and see Him angry, demanding, and unapproachable, you will be unable to freely receive all that Jesus died for you to enjoy.

Paul taught that no one can be justified through the works of the Law. Not before salvation, and not after salvation. God is so gracious that He made us the righteousness of God in Christ when we believed in Jesus as Lord.

Abba God has the perfect, righteous reason to lavish His goodness upon you. Through your prayers of intercession, the people around you are also blessed.

Some well-meaning Christians want to live godly through keeping the Law as a moral guideline, but it only serves to stir up sin’s rebellion in our flesh. They will experience short-lived victories ,only to fall back into sinful patterns when the willpower runs out.

When you place your faith in God after receiving His Word, you will be progressively transformed to live a righteous life. The goal of godly living is the same, but the only way to get there is by beholding Jesus and trusting in Him.

Live by the new and better covenant that is built upon better promises, and you will reign in life through the one Lord Jesus Christ!

Before I was even 10 years old, my father was sent to a labor camp for engaging in illegal trading. Now, by "illegal trading" -- he was selling clogs, sugar, rice and later copper to feed us. I need you to understand what the word "escape" means in the context of North Korea. We were all starving, and hunger means death in North Korea. So it was the only option for us. I didn't even understand the concept of escape, but I could see the lights from China at night, and I wondered if I go where the light is, I might be able to find a bowl of rice. It's not like we had a grand plan or maps. We did not know anything about what was going to happen. Imagine your apartment building caught fire. I mean, what would you do? North Korea is unimaginable. It's very hard for me when people ask me what it feels like to live there. To be honest, I tell you: you can't even imagine it. The words in any language can't describe, because it's a totally different planet, as you cannot imagine your life on Mars right now. For example, the word "love" has only one meaning: love for the Dear Leader. There's no concept of romantic love in North Korea. And if you don't know the words, that means you don't understand the concept, and therefore, you don't even realize that concept is even a possibility.

Let me give you another example. Growing up in North Korea, we truly believed that our Dear Leader is an almighty god who can even read my thoughts. I was even afraid to think in North Korea. We are told that he's starving for us, and he's working tirelessly for us, and my heart just broke for him. When I escaped to South Korea, people told me that he was actually a dictator, he had cars, many, many resorts, and he had an ultraluxurious life. And then I remember looking at a picture of him, realizing for the first time that he is the largest guy in the picture. And it hit me. Finally, I realized he wasn't starving. But I was never able to see that before, until someone told me that he was fat.

Really, someone had to teach me that he was fat. If you have never practiced critical thinking, then you simply see what you're told to see. The biggest question also people ask me is: "Why is there no revolution inside North Korea? Are we dumb? Why is there no revolution for 70 years of this oppression?" And I say: If you don't know you're a slave, if you don't know you're isolated or oppressed, how do you fight to be free? I mean, if you know you're isolated, that means you are not isolated. Not knowing is the true definition of isolation, and that's why I never knew I was isolated when I was in North Korea. I literally thought I was in the center of the universe.

So here is my idea worth spreading: a lot of people think humans inherently know what is right and wrong, the difference between justice and injustice, what we deserve and we don't deserve. I tell them: BS. Everything, everything must be taught, including compassion. If I see someone dying on the street right now, I will do anything to save that person. But when I was in North Korea, I saw people dying and dead on the streets. I felt nothing. Not because I'm a psychopath, but because I never learned the concept of compassion. Only, I felt compassion, empathy and sympathy in my heart after I learned the word "compassion" and the concept, and I feel them now.

And recently, the leader of the free country, our President Trump, met with my former god. And he decided human rights is not important enough to include in his agendas, and he did not talk about it. And it scares me. We live in a world right now where a dictator can be praised for executing his uncle, for killing his half brother, killing thousands of North Koreans. And that was worthy of praise. And also it made me think: perhaps we all need to be taught something new about freedom now. Freedom is fragile. I don't want to alarm you, but it is. It only took three generations to make North Korea into George Orwell's "1984." It took only three generations. If we don't fight for human rights for the people who are oppressed right now who don't have a voice, as free people here, who will fight for us when we are not free? Machines? Animals? The fact that we care about animals' rights, that means that's how beautiful our heart is, that we care about someone who cannot speak for themselves. Pass the Bible to language “experts’ who are unbelievers and they will find all sorts of so-called contradictions in it.

The Bible is so precious because it’s a book that needs the Holy Spirit to unlock the revelations within.

It takes a child of God who has the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to understand God’s word and to preach its meaning to the unsaved and uninitiated.

You can’t just read the Bible like it’s any other book. The Holy Spirit must open your eyes and mind to understand the word.

Most unbelievers I’ve spoken to think that Christianity is all about keeping rules and regulations and obeying the Ten Commandments.

Why is this so? It’s because our fleshly minds understand the concept of “eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth”—in other words, “you get what you deserve”.

However the unspiritual man cannot understand Grace, since Grace is the unmerited favor of God, and the flesh lusts against the things of God.

The flesh wants to earn its accomplishments, to boast in its own strength.

Sadly, there are still some well-meaning Christians who are preaching this fleshly message of obedience to the Law.
It’s because they read God’s word with their mind, interpreting it by man’s understanding, without actively seeking revelation through the Holy Spirit inside them.

It’s strange that the legalists who champion keeping the Law never practice the following passage themselves:

“If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off, and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life maimed or crippled, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into the eternal fire. If your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out, and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into the Gehenna of fire.” (Matthew‬ ‭18:8-9‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Dear legalist, if you take Jesus’ “red letter words” seriously, then why aren’t you cutting off your hands and feet when they cause you to sin?
Why aren’t you gouging out your eyes when they cause you to lust, covet or hate?

Self-righteous, legalistic folks spiritualize the difficult parts to suit their doctrine. When it’s inconvenient or impossible for them, they just ignore it.
These kinds of hypocrites were Jesus’ main opponents during His earthly ministry.

Ask the Holy Spirit to open your eyes to the Gospel of Grace which is the revelation of God’s great love for mankind.
He will show you that forgiveness of sins, peace with God, and every blessing has been purchased through the precious blood of Jesus Christ that was shed at the cross.

Today we only need to receive God’s goodness by faith—believing in your heart and confessing it with your mouth.

Let the scales of religion fall off your eyes, so that you may see God’s word clearly through the lens of Grace.

Today, I'm gonna show you guys how to create two hairstyles. First one is how to do soft romantic curls. I think anybody will look gorgeous with big bouncy curls. Second hairstyle, I call the Juliet because it's simple at the front with a surprise at a back. Exactly how I imagine Juliet's hairstyle to look hehe.

Hello my strawberry kisses,

As requested, here is a video demonstrating how I style my everyday curls (also inspired by Jessica Jung from SNSD). Jessica always has the most softest looking curls ever. Her hair looks effortless it gives her such an elegant girly everyday look.

I filmed this quite a long time ago (you can probably tell from my wallpaper) and had been meaning to upload this video for a while now. I'm so sorry it took me so long to finally upload this guys.

You guys see me wear my hair like this in a lot in my videos. I love this hairstyle because it's suitable for the day time and night time. It looks very girly & soft and only takes me about 5 minutes to do. It looks pretty on it's own and makes a fantastic base hairstyle too. I'm not the type of girl who likes to spend too much time or use too much products when styling the hair so this hairstyle works great for me.

A lot of you ask what curling iron I use and I'm sorry to say it's a brand-less curling iron I picked up years ago in HK. It happens to be better than most of the branded curling irons I own =P
