Take Heart
"…In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."
(John 16:33, NIV)
Every day, things come against us in life to try to steal our joy and rob us of our victory. In fact, throughout your whole life, the enemy has had one mission—to kill, steal and destroy your hope, vision and happiness. But notice what it says in today's verse—"take heart." In one translation, it says, "Be of good cheer." Now that may seem strange to say right after the phrase, "in this world you will have trouble." But when we truly understand that we are overcomers in Christ Jesus, we can be joyful no matter what the circumstances look like. We don't have to allow our emotions to get rattled. We don't have to let our nerves go haywire. We can find rest knowing that Jesus has overcome the world and deprived it of the power to harm us!
Remember, the things that happen in this life are temporary. We are in this world but not of it. We need to keep our focus on eternal things, things above. Sure, we will have trouble in this life, but we can stay encouraged because in eternity, we are overcomers through Christ Jesus!
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
"Father, I humbly come to You today. I ask that You help me stay focused on eternal things. I choose to have joy and peace no matter what comes my way because I know I have the ultimate victory in You in Jesus' name. Amen."

Conflict Resolution: Put the Other Person First
by Rick Warren
“Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 2:4-5 NIV)
Conflict does not resolve itself. It must be dealt with intentionally. Conflict gets worse when you leave it alone. If you have something wrong with someone, or someone has a problem with you, take the initiative to work it out.
When should you work it out? At once. Postponed conflict only gets worse. You need to do it as soon as possible, before it festers and turns into bitterness. You can’t just look at your own viewpoint or situation; you have to look at the other person’s viewpoint, too. This is very difficult, because it's not natural. It requires an intentional shift, where you change your focus from looking at your needs to looking at someone else’s needs.
It also takes God working in your life to do that.
When we understand where people are coming from, the less conflict we're likely to have with them.
How do you learn to understand others? You listen. Listen more than you talk. Again, this is not easy for many of us. Some of us get so anxious to make our point, to tell our side, to defend ourselves; we don't even stop to listen to what others are saying or to consider their point of view.
You are most like Christ when you ask, “What are her/his needs, and how can I meet them?” When you're angry, you're preoccupied with yourself. But when you're like Christ, you look to each other's interests and not merely your own.
One of the most powerful peace-making statements is when you say to someone else, “I'm sorry. I was only thinking of myself.”
Talk About It
Is there a conflict in your life that you’ve allowed to fester? Don’t let another day go by; take time today to resolve it.
How would you rate your listening skills? Concentrate on being a good listener.

Got my hands on the brand new RF 70-200 F4 IS USM for a couple of days. I tried my best to bring it out on a couple of shoots (not many due to the lockdown) to test it out. This isn't a review because I believe reviews should come from long term use, but rather and in depth first look/impressions of this lens. I wanted to answer a few questions such as size, weight, bokeh and usability. After a few days of testing out the lens, I feel I have a good idea on what this lens is good at and where it fails. I also briefly compare it to the 2.8 version. Hope this video helps!
