Truth be told, I have eaten this recipe repeatedly at many shops but so far none were impressive memorable, in fact some were outright poor despite the fame 😳. However relatively speaking【竺扶大班燒味 Chukfo Taipan, Wanchai HK 🇭🇰】which is a relatively new shop does it the better of them.. The Chef used to head the Cantonese Kitchen in a Hotel restaurant, but decided to dedicate his skills to his own Roast Shop 燒味店 and also a Bing Sat #沙田友冰室 in 石門.

It reminds me of Pork Lard Rice/Noodles 豬油撈飯 in town ~ 95% of shops which add them is just wasting your quota, I can count with 3 fingers the only shops which make them right in HK, compared to say Guangzhou. It's something that You either have it, or you don't. Any shops which make you 2nd guess means they have inevitably failed the Litmus test, because they should instantly elevate your senses with the correct aroma 未食個油香味已經勁爆發 when done correctly~ You're supposed to be able to smell it just walking past the shop front, that's how intense it should be.. @ 竺扶大班燒味 Chukfo Taipan Restaurant

對於作為鴛鴦頭號fans嘅30老baes,黃總曾多次表示 “食鴛鴦食到想嘔”,小編雖然都好堅持要食鴛鴦,但終於有一日連小編都食到悶,所以肯同黃總試下新野🤠

呢間”沙田友冰室”其實都唔係新開,之前已經試過佢嘅斑蘭蛋撻🤔,不過早餐又真係第一次試。呢度嘅環境刻意營造成冰室嘅模樣,每張枱嘅枱號係以沙田路牌為名,貼合沙田友主題,幾有心思嘅,但食物就一般茶餐廳質素啦😶炒蛋稍嫌細左啲,公仔麵都煮得唔夠爽口,可能”公主蛋撻”同”王子蛋撻”先係佢地主打吧。
btw黃總其實我下次都係想食翻鴛鴦😂
