Just gotten my hands on these 2 new flavours by Indomie, the Indomie Mi Goreng Barbeque Chicken that is ranked No. 1 by the LA Times and the Indomie Chicken Curry Flavour, a local Asian favourite flavor since 1982 which gives an exotic curry taste and aroma in the house. I always keep my instant quick meal fix balanced with the best of the best, served with some vegetables, meat and egg in making it a perfect and filling meal for the family on any day.

I also boil and strain the first layer of water and then boil another layer of the other ingredients and only add the noodles back in and then add the seasoning to complete the dish. Sometimes, we cheat but we cheat smartly also. If you've yet to try it, then you should! Check out @indomie_malaysia

[RECIPE✨] My version of kid-friendly #dandannoodles with no spice but packed with a lot of flavor! ✨🍜 #Bentoformyboys 🍱

Because we are heading out, I prepped 2 cheat meals for the boys and for variety, i made a simple Dan Dan minced meat noodles with @pami_singapore Hu Sesame #tsengnoodles.

RECIPE :
Blanch xiao bai cai (I added corn too coz the boys love it) and set aside. Cook @pami_singapore noodles. I used half the Hu Sesame seasoning for the kids, topped with abit of sesame oil. Remove noodles from water. Cook cold egg for 6 minutes in boiling water. Remove immediately and place in ice water bath. Marinate peeled egg in soya sauce water (50/50). Cut before serving.
Minced meat (around 100g) marinated with 2-3 teaspoon of soya sauce, and sesame oil. Add some cornflour and mix well. Sprinkle @liloikanbilis mushroom powder abundantly, it adds natural flavoring to the meat since I dun add salt or pepper for kids. Heat pan with oil, stir fry sliced small onions til fragrant. Add meat and cook well. Can choose to add @liloikanbilis scallop powder for added umami. Place minced meat over noodles with vegetables at the side. (PS it will taste great with a splash of vinegar too!)✨

The second dished I cooked steamed rice and air fry @cpfoodssg teriyaki chicken pack. The glaze looks appetizing! 🐣

For this video, we were challenged by Funan to complete 4 separate food challenges within 30 minutes! Funan is a mall located in the heart of the Civic District that combines retail, office and living spaces for a unique experience. Throughout this mall run, we did challenges at Kebabs Faktory, Butter Bean, Tonkotsu Kazan and BaWangChaJi.

The lamb and chicken from Kebabs Faktory were heavily spiced and scented while also tender, with our choice of garlicky and slightly spicy sauces complementing the meat well. Butter Bean’s fish sandwich came with an excellent thousand island dressing and the fish was pleasantly crispy on the outside while remaining moist and flaky on the inside. The ramen from Tonkotsu Kazan came with an extremely generous portion, loaded with tons of beef and vegetable goodness. The signature volcano was also interesting as it is actually used to cook the meat mound piled on top of the noodles. BaWangChaJi’s Dark Mountain drink’s whipped cream was to die for and extremely addictive. It was not cloyingly sweet but just right with bits of caramelised nuts folded in.

Due to the time needed to prepare the food and set up our equipment at each location, the challenge was a lot harder than expected and I did it in just under 30 minutes. The food and drinks were all extremely good, with the standout ones already mentioned above. We did not even cover even half the available F&B at Funan for this challenge, so there are many more options for you to try there.
