FFXIV最終幻想系列的第二個MMORPG類型作品，
8月10日18時開始為了更新到Patch 5.3版本，開始了為期24小時的維修。
也就是說，FFXIV的玩家們只能望著桌面上的.exe檔陷入無盡的，「放我進遊戲」的焦慮中。
為了緩和戒斷症狀，我想出的辦法，就是開始寫心得，也算是整理一下剛破完4.x版本有點複雜的心情。
因為我平常沒有截圖習慣，加上遊戲現在還沒辦法玩，所以幾乎都是用官網截圖還請見諒。
事前聲明：遊戲有Steam版本，但台灣目前只能下載試玩版。
當然可以先下載Steam版本體驗（畢竟這裡是Steam版），但還是推薦從官方網站下載。
零、試玩期間延長
之所以會想推坑，除上述外，還有一個原因是，
5.3版本更新完畢後，FFXIV的免費試玩期間大幅延長。
原本國際版試玩最多能把角色練到LV 35，但LV 35連最初的2.0版本的主線都無法完整體驗，
因此開發組決定將試玩期間延長，未來「主線3.X版本全數解完」才需要付費，
等於直接送了一片資料片，可以一路玩到LV 60。
重點是5.3版將大幅簡化當年由於製作倉促而有點濫竽充數的2.X版本跑腿任務。

一、關於FFXIV
FFXIV這款遊戲，一言以蔽之就是MMORPG。
但如果要說它和市面上的MMORPG有哪裡不一樣，可能在於：
它多樣的遊玩要素很MMO，但它的主線很RPG。
FFXIV的每一次大版本更新，新增主線內容都堪比一款JRPG大作。
這還不包含版本間過度的各小版本新增劇情。對於「想玩JRPG」的人來說，光主線就值回票價。
至於對「想玩MMO」和人輕鬆交流的玩家來說，FFXIV也有足夠內容遊玩。
你甚至能在裡面

二、一個互助合作的世界
回頭去玩過去沉迷的MMO，經常會找不到以前著迷的感覺。
最大的衝擊通常是「風氣變了」。
除非跟現實好友一起玩，否則玩現在台灣的MMO通常會陷入「瘋狂趕進度」或「課金拚強度」的泥淖中。
進副本跳動畫、過主線跳劇情是常態，尤其如果副本不跳動畫經常會被路人抱怨，
但FFXIV完全沒有這種問題。
FFXIV的新玩家ID前方會有「豆芽」樣式的圖案，這個圖案直到主線攻略到目前的最新版本（5.0）才會消失。
只要你頭上還頂著豆芽，幾乎所有老玩家都很樂意幫助你；就算已經失去豆芽，在第一次打副本時說明自己是「初見」，
套一句以前看過的話「阻止你看劇情的人，才會被罵」。
沒有人會催促，也沒有人會因為你第一次打副本狂死而責備你。
如果新手不熟悉副本機制而躺地板，
就算只是野團路過的老玩家通常也會努力說明、教導新人，而不是發現有人不會打就直接跳出副本。
若是初見一些劇情比較有趣的副本，甚至有老玩家會在通關後等待新手把動畫看完，圍著新人拍手慶賀。
可以說近幾年我還沒看過風氣比FFXIV友善輕鬆的OLG。
三、輕鬆的遊戲體驗
和玩家的友善氛圍同樣，FFXIV遊戲機制上也相當友善
與為了提高玩家活躍度而想盡辦法加強哈扣內容，使玩家非得長時間待在線上／遊玩同樣內容的遊戲不同，FFXIV完全不算強制綁住玩家的時間，
遊戲的製作人甚至說過「如果玩累了AFK等下個版本回來也完全可以」，
更神奇的是，這不是空話。
FFXIV真的完全可以隨時AFK隨時回歸。
它不會逼玩家一定要刷裝備，副本掉的裝備隨便都能用很久，
穿符合等級的副本掉落裝，或在玩家交易板上隨手拉一套便宜的生活職業玩家產製裝，
隨便湊一套就就完全可以去打當前等級最高難度的副本。
而高難度副本也不是非得去打，
因為高難度副本的掉落裝備並沒有比路上能買到的強多少，
有價值的東西，除了絕佳的副本體驗（音樂和畫面表現力真的很好），
也就是掉落的坐騎或外觀了（很炫，但性能上沒有特別之處）。
除了副本和主線之外，FFXIV最大的優點是，它沒有忽略生活職業玩家。
一直以來，只玩生活職業的玩家幾乎是二等公民。
除了採集做裝備賺錢外，很少有「專門為生活玩家」製作且平易近人的內容，但FFXIV有。
（總之黑色沙漠那個又複雜又綁時間的經商我不行）
不只是有特別為釣魚玩家製作的24人海釣（會獎勵寵物和坐騎），
採集、挖礦、鐵匠等玩家還可以參與「XXXX（避免劇透）復興」，
協助重建劇情中被戰爭摧毀的城鎮，
且重建完成後，玩家可以在重建好的居住區買房子。
諸如此類的生活職業額外內容每次改版都會絕讚增加，
不用擔心如果不太玩戰鬥職業就沒事可做。
如果你不想打副本、主線，也不想玩生活職業，還有金蝶遊樂場。
在這裡，可以打牌、賽鳥、打麻將、刮刮樂、走秀，還有投籃機可以玩。
我個人上線但沒時間解主線的時候都在打麻將。
畢竟是FFXIV，全球最大線上麻將中心（不是）。
四、單機品質的主線劇情
FFXIV玩家最常談到的，恐怕就是劇情。
就如同我開頭所說，本作的每個資料片都有一款單機遊戲（包含後續更新甚至超過）的劇情量，
初步估計，試玩期間能玩到的2+3版應該可以玩破50HR，
這還不包括各職業的主線劇情（對，每個職業都有不同主線，而且劇情多數很用心）。
為了避免劇透，很多東西不能說太多，
但就算拿大部分老玩家都覺得不優（和3.0、5.0比）的4.0主線劇情來說，
也是完成兩個國家復興的偉業、經歷許多讓人印象深刻的戰役的宏大故事，
後續的小版本更新內容更是騙了我好幾次眼淚。
此外，本作劇情上更難能可貴的，是副本的設計會和劇情有所結合。

在盡可能不劇透的情況下，用這個BOSS為例。
這是Patch 4.3版本「月下之花（月下の華）」的8人討伐戰BOSS「月讀」，
她在4.0版本中作為反派出場，但4.2、4.3版本的劇情過後，我們才知道她為何會成為反派。
她當反派時的暴虐行為沒有因為揭露過去被洗白，她最終的立場也沒有改變。
但當打副本時配合機制回顧她的過往，
（影片02:10開始的小怪環節，BOSS解除變身倒臥在場地中間，周圍出現開始攻擊她的小怪，
這些攻擊她的小怪都是曾經帶給她痛苦的人，
最後出現一個幫BOSS擋刀的幻影，那是玩家的同伴，也是在她一生中唯一對她好的人）
聽見她面對「如果不活下來，無論是贖罪還是報恩都無從說起」，
只能回應「已經太遲了」的時候，也不禁感到萬分惆悵。
劇情和劇情副本的高度結合，
讓玩家的戰鬥體驗和劇情體驗不會被割裂，反而緊密融合（甚至有些單機遊戲都做不到這點），
也大力推升玩家在劇情上的沉浸感。
五、用心的製作團隊
回頭來說說，為何這遊戲是從「2.0」開始。
究其原因，FFXIV的1.0版本是個災難，災難到了甚麼地步呢？
2019年E3，本作現在的製作人吉田直樹在被問到
「WOW的經典服很熱，請問FFXIV有沒有打算做個1.0的經典服呢？」的時候，
忍不住苦笑回了一句:NIGHTMARE.
FFXIV的1.0版本有多爛我就不多說，
總之營運不到一年全球活躍玩家就剩下不到4萬人，而且還在逐漸減少。
就在FFXIV差不多快死透時，原本的製作人被撤換，由吉田接手。
吉田帶領的團隊在不斷替爛到無藥可救的1.0版本打補丁的同時，
還秘密開發著遊戲的2.0版本（不只是大型更新，是從戰鬥系統到遊戲UI全部打掉重練）。
一般來說，做到這種程度已經足夠了，
但吉田並不滿足於讓當時僅存的玩家生硬地轉換到2.0，
而是特地設計了一個「世界末日」的劇情：

在某個版本更新後，月亮旁出現了一顆微弱的紅色光點，
隨著當時一次次的小版本更新，那顆光點逐漸變大，
玩家才終於意識到，那顆「衛月」即將砸向大地。
主線劇情中揭示，
那是遊戲反派「帝國」的一個將軍「白銀兇鳥」要毀滅玩家所在的「艾歐澤亞」的計謀，
但儘管最終玩家打敗了白銀兇鳥，衛月仍然不斷墜落。
1.0版本的玩家們在遊戲中堅守到最後一刻，直到1.0版本的FFXIV關閉伺服器。
而遊戲一被強制斷線，畫面就開始撥放上面的那段CG，成為了1.0到2.0完美的銜接。
（玩家被強制傳送到了安全的時空，就是2.0的標題「重生之境」）
從這裡就能看出，製作人吉田及吉田帶領的團隊，對待這款遊戲以及遊戲玩家的用心。
這種用心直到現在也沒有改變。
吉田固定會開直播和玩家交流（製作人來信、吉田P散步），
甚至會親自示範怎麼打高難度副本，下場打給玩家看，
是個「真的會玩自己做的遊戲」的製作人。

吉田團隊的用心例證是，5.0版本中，FFXIV和Nier：Automata進行了聯動合作，
但這個合作不僅僅是隨便做個外觀服裝、道具的合作，
他真的請到橫尾替這次合作寫了「能融入FFXIV和Nier世界觀」的大量劇情，
並為此製作三個24人大型副本，副本製作的用心程度也相當恐怖（見影片）。
Nier的合作劇情和副本在Patch 5.3更新後會釋出第二個，
5.x全版本更新完之前會釋出第三段劇情及副本，而且永遠不會移除。
另外，因為Nier副本的關係，不少FFXIV玩家喊著「想要跟9S一樣的飛行器」，
聽到了這個要求的吉田雖然相當為難，
但在Patch5.3版本真的做了可變形飛行器坐騎出來，而且不是商城付費坐騎，
是透過遊戲的特殊戰場副本取得。
總之真的是很推薦這款遊戲，歡迎大家一起來當光之戰士。
最後，本遊戲台灣人大多分布在日本伺服器，尤其ELEMENT下轄的Typhon台灣人最多，
如果有人有興趣玩，可以來Typhon找我，
雖然不是什麼高難度副本玩家，假日時一般劇情副本或討伐都可以一起玩。

這方面的東西大家都盡量低調用。
不過這遊戲本來也比較推薦從官網買就是了。
時間和人力都嚴重不足的情況下，為了填充遊戲內容，2.0～2.X版本的任務有不少是為了拖時間而放進去的無意義跑腿，這部分大概很影響遊戲體驗。
不過今天更新的5.3版會把2.0～2.X版本的任務大幅改動，應該可以讓前期體驗變得好一點。
