Hello #inversionaddict s! I’m excited to announce my annual #handstandisforeveryone workshop. This year I’m partnering with @yogaroomhk to deliver this two-part workshop.
Part 1 (May 29, 2:30-5:15pm) - The Foundations - Learn basic core strength conditioning, hands' placements, shoulder opening and many more important skills to prepare yourself for a safe and sound handstand. Beginners are welcomed, no prior experience required.
Part 2 (May 30, 2:30-5:15pm) - In this more advanced workshop, you will learn how to balance on your hands on your own, in the middle of the room. Different legs and arms variations, as well as alternative entries into handstands will also be introduced. You need to be able to kick up into handstand on your own, against the wall, to join Part 2. Otherwise, participation of Part 1 is required. Seek teacher’s approval if you’d like to join Part 2 only.

Before learning how to kick up into handstand in the middle of the room… do remember, safety first!
So start by practising with a wall, knowing the feeling of being upside down and most importantly, being able to breathe when you’re inverted.
This tutorial will teach you how to warm up your wrists, shoulders and core for all the safety reasons, then learning how to do a supported handstand to build upper body strength.
