Allah SWT has written your Qadr, He's written my Qadr but none of us know what it is.
But we have Dua, we have the ability to take action and above all we have Tawakkul in Allah SWT.
When Hajr was running around for water she didn't know that a spring of water could come out of the mountain but she did know that her only option was to turn to Allah SWT.
When Zakariya wanted children in his old age he didn't know whether or not there was an off-spring in his fate but he still made Dua knowing that Allah will do right by him like He always does.
When Asiya, the wife of Pharoah, didn't know how to stop her husband from being an oppressor and tyrant, she knew how take an action and make Dua to Allah SWT. And Allah SWT took her into His own protection and honored with a high status in the hereafter.
When I hear people say that if the Qadr is already written for us all by Allah SWT then why make Dua.
Here's their answer...
You don't know what's written in your Qadr but Allah does.
Allah is as we expect of Him to be.
The acceptance of Dua by Allah SWT is subject to His servant truly believing in Him and His Mercy and Forgiveness.
However, not to accompany such belief with right action would be to mock the Almighty.
So have Tawakkul and make Dua...for Duas can change your destiny.
