Allah SWT has written your Qadr, He's written my Qadr but none of us know what it is.⁠

But we have Dua, we have the ability to take action and above all we have Tawakkul in Allah SWT. ⁠

When Hajr was running around for water she didn't know that a spring of water could come out of the mountain but she did know that her only option was to turn to Allah SWT.⁠
⁠
When Zakariya wanted children in his old age he didn't know whether or not there was an off-spring in his fate but he still made Dua knowing that Allah will do right by him like He always does.⁠
⁠
When Asiya, the wife of Pharoah, didn't know how to stop her husband from being an oppressor and tyrant, she knew how take an action and make Dua to Allah SWT. And Allah SWT took her into His own protection and honored with a high status in the hereafter.⁠

When I hear people say that if the Qadr is already written for us all by Allah SWT then why make Dua.⁠

Here's their answer...⁠

You don't know what's written in your Qadr but Allah does.⁠
⁠
Allah is as we expect of Him to be.⁠
⁠
The acceptance of Dua by Allah SWT is subject to His servant truly believing in Him and His Mercy and Forgiveness. ⁠
⁠
However, not to accompany such belief with right action would be to mock the Almighty. ⁠
⁠
So have Tawakkul and make Dua...for Duas can change your destiny.⁠

When you place your trust in Allah and refer all matters to Him, He will direct them in your best interest, because He knows what is best for you, whereas you may not know. When you place your trust in Allah, every difficult task becomes easy, every hardship becomes bearable, every stressful situation is eased, needs are fulfilled, blessings are sent down, calamities are warded off and harms are averted. When you place your trust in Allah, you will see how you are able to achieve many things which a group of people together cannot achieve, because Allah will make it easy for you!

One of the ways of interacting with the Qur'an is to make du'aa from contemplation of the aayah. So here is our du'aa for today and hopefully for the rest of our days.❤❤❤❤❤ Bismillah.

Alhamdulillah. Alhamdulillah. Alhamdulillah. For the blessing of Islam. For the blessing of Qur'an. O our Rabb. Grant us the tawfeeq to be the best of servant to You. Make us from those who worship out of love to You. Let us live a life of absolute servitude to You. O our Rabb. Make us from the people of Qur'an. Make the Qur'an the spring in our hearts, the light in our lives, the guide in managing our affairs. O our Rabb. Protect us from the Hell Fire. Grant us Jannatul Firdaus. Grant us, faith that is pure. Grant us the ability to do righteous deeds in a manner that is pleasing to You. Grant us the finest of rewards.

O Allah. Please make us from those who do not deviate from faith. Protect us from ill speech, knowledge that is not beneficial and hardened hearts.

O Allah. We may have been swept up by the glimmer and the glitters of this world. We may have been fooled by the facade of this temporary world. We may have been too caught up in the adornments of this world.

So we seek protection in You from the distraction of this world. Shower us with Your mercy so that we use this isolation period as the time of spiritual growth. Make this khalwa, a blessed time for us to increase our sabr and shukr, our taslim and tawakkul. Make this retreat a time to reform ourselves and our affairs. Grant us Your special mercy and guide us during our test. And make us from those who are rightly guided.

O Allah. Allow us to reach Ramadan with peace and contentment, with servitude and submission. Grant us the best of intentions. Purify our hearts and grant us forgiveness. May this Ramadan be the time that our hearts be filled with Your remembrance, our actions in the pursuit of Your pleasure. May our days be filled with the service to others in a manner that is pleasing to You. May our nights be filled with Your worship and remembrance. May our lives be in mindfulness of You.

Allahumma ameen
