【「唐氏症從未阻擋我」，唐氏症青年創彩襪事業】
美國有位唐氏症青年約翰(John)，從小就愛穿稀奇古怪圖案的襪子，單純一個「爸，我要開襪子公司」的念頭，讓約翰與父親合資創業賣襪子，並在高中畢業後當老闆。約翰希望透過襪子散播歡樂，成功創出千萬生意，就連加拿大總理杜魯多、美國前總統柯林頓也都是他的客戶。
約翰曾在其他媒體受訪時表示，「唐氏症從未阻擋我（Down's Syndrome never holds me back.）」。約翰也用自身創業成功的例子，充分證明凡事皆有可能。

I’m sure you’ve came across, or know someone with Down Syndrome. Now think this, how do you look at them? As someone who is equal, or someone who is “special”? 🤔
To me, “Leave No One Behind” means individuals with disabilities should be recognized as equal, and shouldn’t be faced with discrimination and left out in development programmes & initiatives.
In conjunction with World Down Syndrome Day 2019, let us raise awareness and funds for people with Down Syndrome. @mmi_social has launched MMI X-traordinary in which all proceeds will be channelled to Down Syndrome Society of Johor and Princess Elizabeth School for the Blind.
