Flooding is a common disaster in Malaysia. However, this can be mitigated with the help of Mangrove trees. Mangroves with aerial roots will reduce the impact of tidal waves in shallow water
more rapidly than those without. The roots, trunks and canopy of mangroves also act as a buffer against storm surges and in turn help lessen property damage and therefore protecting the livelihoods of local communities living by the shore. Mangrove forests also provide society with a range of other 'ecological services'. These include preventing coastal erosion, protecting coral reefs from silting up, and providing a source of timber, food and traditional medicines.

移植はコナミ開発三部が行った。

SFC版の特徴としては、8面のボスのプーヤンの場面でオプションを複数装着時にスプライト欠けが起こる(モード7の拡大機能とレーザーをスプライトで表示する関係)、ステージ10にオリジナルステージ追加、OMAKE!モード（おまけ面）追加、オートでも任意でパワーアップが可、7段階の難易度設定可、ちちびんたリカの腰振り演出が削除、白ベルのセリフの改編、インフレランク上昇の大幅緩和、等が挙げられる。

BGMはF1スピリット(MSX/'87年)や、メタルギア2 ソリッドスネーク(MSX2/'90年)などの上原氏、アーマード・コアシリーズ等の衛藤氏による共同編曲、音色、コードの違いもありアレンジ感のある音作り。
