This is a foundation building workshop geared towards students who want to learn arm balances and inversions.
Learn to fly + balance in this invigorating Arm Balancing & Inversion Workshop with Agnes. This 3-hour workshop kicks off with a vinyasa flow practice to warm up the body and prepare you to intelligently build the poses to gain strength, stability and balance.
This will be a workshop where various postures will be explored with a focus on preparatory strength, alignment, and modifications to help you expand your arm balance and inversion. Some of the poses we will over are crow pose, side crow, handstand, and forearm stand etc.
All levels are welcome – just show up with a willingness to try and curiosity!

既然去餐廳吃飯也要看看食評,那麼選擇跟誰上導師訓練也會想看看別人的評價來作參考吧?本著這個想法,我會在此簡略分享自己上完Carol的導師訓練班(YTT)的感受,希望讓正在考慮的同學有多一個角度了解Carol的課程。
如何教瑜伽動作/式子
我當初決定跟Carol上導師訓練主要是因為我覺得她教的Alignment Cues 十分仔細。我當時覺得這是作為一個導師最重要的。如果不能好好說清楚一個動作要怎麼做,那就跟一個導師完全扯不上邊吧。Carol的課程完全符合我的期望,記得從第一週開始她便開始要我們記住和互相試教Sun Salutation Sequence了,咦~~第一週不是應該輕輕鬆鬆互相介紹嗎?哈哈不是。之後每週的練習都會有一個主題,例如 Twisting,Arm Balance,Backbend等,Carol會在教Hands on Adjustments時再教導有關的Alignment Cues。所有基本的式子,例如Warrior 1/2,Triangle,Extended Side Angle,Wheel pose都會學到詳細的正位教法。(待續)

由上身沒有力量,到現在做到arm balance動作
就算是最簡單的一個crow pose,也是用了很多時間練習、調整,當中經過無數次的失敗和跌倒
未必人人一學便懂,但只要你肯花時間心機,總有一天能做到
人生也是這樣,遇到困難的時候你選擇退縮還是嘗試衝破?

Trong khi các phòng tập đang đóng cửa thì mình đã sang nhờ anh Bình từ Viet Yogi để được hướng dẫn tập thử Yoga. Calisthenics & Yoga có rất nhiều điểm chung vì đều là các bộ môn bodyweight only vì thế mà mình đã luôn muốn trải nghiệm thử bộ môn này trong khoảng thời gian không thể đi tập. Mình đã học được rất nhiều từ trải nghiệm này, cùng xem và tập theo mình nhé.

對很多瑜伽練習者來說,這個姿勢不僅代表了力量、技巧和控制力,它更像徵著整個臂力平衡的概念。Bakasana 提醒我們,我們遠比自己想像的更強大。從烏鴉的基礎可以變化出許多充滿魅力的挑戰,例如:側烏鴉 Parsva Bakasana、單腿烏鴉 Eka Pada Bakasana。
暖身建議:
Bakasana 的上半身如同鱷魚式 Chaturanga 和平板式的結合,搭配著下半身深蹲,做幾次的拜日式A 對於進入 Bakasana 來說是非常合適的暖身。同時,一些快速增強核心的練習也會有所幫助。
改善提示:
1. 一心一意將自己的屁股抬起來到 Bakasana 會是非常容易跌倒的嘗試,而且臉絕對正面撞向地板唷!向前傾斜,將你的重心往前放,讓重量往手的方向去,啟動你的核心在緩慢移動中穩定姿勢,直到你的雙腳自然的從地上升起~直到你最後一根頑固的腳指頭離開地板。
2.如果你認為自己的核心和上半身不夠強壯,可以更勤快的練習船式和平板式。在我過去的練習和教學經驗中,發現大多數女生的肩膀和三頭肌會比較使不上力,可以多加強鱷魚式和海豚式。
