Just days prior to the dine - in lockdown, serendipity was on side as we took a rare opportunity to head, just beyond the urban sprawl limit to Nonthanburi. @baanrabiangnam_rivertreehouseWas the obvious choice, nestled by the Chaophraya River, the multi-storey eatery is built almost entirely of wood, including the chair (bring a seat cushion if you wish to settle-in) and terraces, which makes for the perfect spot for boat and fish watching. During this period there were little diners so we were half expecting that the menu would by downsized and less than fresh as usual, turns out we were only half right. Although some of first choices were unavailable, I believe Ive never had a fresher soft shell crab in my life. The batter so delicately crisp as to compliment the tenderness of the crab shell and flesh and that raw Mango dipping sauce! Bloody hell, thats a meal in itself. "Who Are You?”

Three simple words. Difficult to answer.

This past weekend I had the fortune to work with 20 budding yoga teachers in Hong Kong at my annual #mentorshipworkshop. Apart from the adjustment skills and teaching feedback that you would expect in a #yogateachertraining, one thing the teachers didn't expect me to ask them, and keep asking them, is this simple question ""WHO ARE YOU."" Knowing the answer to this question will help you define your teaching and find your voice.

I have been asked so many times in the last few years, how to build a brand, how to stand out as a yoga teacher, how to promote myself as a yoga teacher, how to get more clients, how to work with other brands. Will being able to teach advanced asanas be enough to be a great teacher? Will having beautiful photos in my instagram be sufficient to attract other brands to want to work with me? How to build a name for myself? How to get more followers on Instagram?

All of those are valid questions. But without knowing who you are, without knowing why you teach yoga (or why you do whatever business you're doing), all those questions will mean nothing. It is easy to teach yoga classes, handstand, headstand. It is easy to fill your classes if you try hard enough. But without digging deep to find out why you do the things you do, you and your business will only go so far.

Knowing why you teach is like knowing your core values - so you and your business will have a personality. Knowing who you are gives you trememdous power to make the right decision and do the right thing - so you have courage and confidence. Knowing who you are will allow you to know your own worth - so you can charge accordingly.

So next time when you ask me, how to stand out in a saturated market full of yoga teachers. My questions back to you are: do you know who you are and why you teach?

Hats off to Sir @gomofarah for your final attempt to qualify for the Tokyo Men's 10000m at Müller British Athletics Championship. Although you fall short of the qualifying time of 27:28.00 but I respect you for giving your best effort for this one last time.

He is the role model that I look up to since I started running. I always wanted to win the Double Gold like he did in 5000m and 10,000m in my University Track and Field Championship. After four years of taking part on it for, I won it at last in my Final Year 2018 with the Double Gold and achieved the Best Male Award for it.

Despite the age of 38, he still want to qualify for the Olympic and fight for it. He is truly a fighter 🏃🏻‍♂️

Thank you Sir Mo Farah for your amazing effort tonight. Hoping to see you do well in Marathon distance and continue to inspire many of us to keep fighting, keep grinding, keep digging hard to achieve more, and be the best version of ourselves.

A young and dedicated athlete studied Sport Science Major in Exercise in University Malaya. Born in the year of 1994, 28th of September in Malaysia. Started his running career in the mid of 18 years old which is in the year 2012. First 10k timing were 55 minutes. And within a year of his running career, he managed to achieve Sub 40 for 10km. Now, his personal best for 5k - 16:04, 5,000m - 16:13 and 10k - 33:26, 10,000m - 35:16 minutes. Aiming to hit 5k - Sub 16 min by year 2017. His first Half Marathon timing were 1:44:51 which He did it without a proper training and is just 3 months right after he started running. In year of 2015, 1st of Feb, He managed to hit a 1:23:59 for Half Marathon with the 7 weeks Training Program. In Year 2017, he also won the Second Overall and Best Malaysian in KL Tower International Towerthon Challenge. With this achievement, it kick start his journey to participate in Vertical World Circuit. He represented Malaysia to Beijing Vertical Run as Elite Category and won 5th placing in his first vertical world circuit. He going to Shanghai, Osaka and Hong Kong for the last three vertical world circuit. Currently supported and sponsored by Garmin Malaysia, World of Sports - Mizuno, NulivScience US (Actigin), High 5 Sports Nutrition Malaysia, Lifeline ID, Beet It Sports Malaysia. Great recipe to use up potatoes!

Tater tots are grated potatoes formed into small cylinders and deep-fried, trademarked by American frozen food company Ore-Ida.

Deep-fried leftover scraps and small potatoes without breading or batter are good, too!

EASY Tater Tots Recipe

Difficulty: Very Easy
Time: 20min
Number of servings: 4

Ingredients:
600g (1.3oz.) potatoes
2/3 tsp. salt
pepper
1 tbsp. flour
deep frying oil

Directions:
1. Wash and peel potatoes. Place them in a microwavable dish, cover, and microwave on medium (600w) for 5 minutes, until slightly heated (not cooked through). Undercooked potatoes are easy to shred.
2. Using a shredder, shred the potatoes.
3. Season with salt and pepper, and mix in flour.
4. Wrap in plastic wrap to flatten the potatoes. Then cut it into small pieces, nicely shape them into cylinders about an inch long.
5. Deep fry in oil at 180C (350F) until crisp golden brown on the outside.

Potato Somen noodles are easy and perfect refreshing idea in hot and humid summer season 😋 Try out with fresh potatoes!

You can of course add some toppings. It was my son's request that he does not need anything other than potatoes. haha

Sōmen (素麺) is very thin Japanese noodles made of wheat flour. The noodles are usually served cold in summer with a Dashi flavored tasty dipping sauce called Mentsuyu (めんつゆ).

Potato Somen Noodles Recipe

Difficulty: Very Easy
Time: 10min
Number of servings: as much as you want

Ingredients:
potatoes
Mentsuyu (dipping sauce)
condiments of your choice

Directions:
1. Wash and peel potatoes. Put water in a bowl. Using a slicer, slice potatoes into thin strips. Soak in water to remove extra starch.
2. In boiling water, add salt, then blanch the potatoes for 15 seconds. Drain in a strainer and quickly wash with cold water before the potato strips get soft with remaining heat.
3. Dip in diluted Mentsuyu (as instructed on its package) to eat.

((Somen Dipping Sauce from scratch))
* 300ml Dashi broth (using packaged dashi powder saves time)
* 4 tbsp. Mirin (sweet Sake)
* 4 tbsp. soy sauce
In a pot, bring Dashi broth, Mirin, and soy sauce to a boil. You can also microwave until it comes to a boil. Cool in the fridge until ready to serve.
