4 days out! I know Ive been posting a lot but i just wanna share a bit more for #TrainToTransformTues about not letting obstacles hinder you from your goal. That was me in Dec 13 bit chunkier than now and when i gorged myself with every food and sweet possible. You may think there arent a lot of changes, but i feel the changes and I see it myself compared to April 29. Personally im happy with my changes and i know what ive gone through.
A while back i mentioned I have PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) which is where my hormones are whacked. Hormones play a part in our fatloss and weightloss process ladies. Together with other kinds of life stresses, i felt i wasnt seeing the right changes in my physique, despite training a lot, i still looked chunky like what the fudge! Learning that i had PCOS made me think i would not ever get the physique i want, cause i thought it was a problem. It is, cause i just have to work harder and snarter with training. It helps so much that my coach @benperformancecoach knows a lot bout hormones cause training a female isnt as straight forward as a guy. Since embarking on this journey to the stage, I just want to share that while there maybe problems that you think will hinder progress, life happens, things will thick you off, make you not wanna stick to your goal cause you are just fed up, eating clean is too hard and you want to give up, bla bla bla....Dont!
There will always be a solution, as long as you are focus on your goal. For me was this comp. Point is, in your fitness journey, girl or guy, life happens, but never deviate fron your goal. It all starts with you. You control how you are and what you want to achieve. End of my share 🤗 time for cardio. #Phil413 #LinoraJourneyToComp #TransformationTuesday #UnderArmourMY #Fitness #GirlsWhoLift #BikiniFitness #HustleHard #Fitspo #IWillWhatIWant

VLOG UPDATE WEEK 8:
Confession! I was suppose to stick to my nutrition plan but for 1 and a half days i just went... screw it all i want to eat more cake and junk that wouldn't be good for me. I paid the price, but i'm back to focusing.
The training program has now changed to a strength phase and my nutrition has become a lot stricter. It should've been strict to begin with and it was but now just a lot more. Especially in regards to my carbs. NO MORE BANANA!
Body issues or insecurities also played a role in this episodes. You go through a number of emotions as a female doing this, i suppose. Stems from times when we are the most critical bout our own physique, how we think people will judge you... but in all honesty, we shouldn't care. I'm learning to not care and just keep focus on building a better me. And i think everyone needs to realise that too. :)
Thanks again for joining me on this journey and I'll see you all next Monday!

As much as I like to squat but I know it takes more than just squat to build a a big round glutes(picture 2).As a physique competitors, I work all year round on my overall aesthetics and I place a lot emphasizing on my glutes, mainly it gives me the 3D look when wearing jeans or tight pants, it also gives the illusion of slimmer smaller waist. (Picture 3) In fact I have been doing hip thrust 2-3 times on a weekly basis. Contrary to popular advertised, squats and deadlifts aren't the best exercises for building bigger, stronger glutes. It is a game changer for the ladies who have flat butts!
Thanks to Bret Contreras
Hip Thrusts continue gaining popularity in the gyms. The hip thrust and its variations are great for:
Improving glute strength
Increasing glute size
Improving aesthetics of glutes (higher, rounder, firmer)
Improving performance in athletics
Improving performance in the weight room
Reducing overall risk of injury, as strong glutes can help take stress off the lower back.

Exactly as of today as i upload this vlog. I have 25 days left. OMG!!!!!!
I finally registered myself for the competition Battle of the Freaks 2 happening 6th May at PJ Live Arts Theatre.
In this vlog, I explain a bit more on the competition i'm taking part in. I'm still very new to the bodybuilding industry and jargons, but from my understanding, there a number of different federations out there. Each has it's own categories and own set of rules.
For Battle of the Freaks, it is under NABBA-WFF. NABBA stands for National Amateur Body-Builder's Association and WFF is World Fitness Federation.
"NABBA and WFF are separate organisations but are affiliated. This provides additional benefits for members and competitors. Each Federation seeks a different 'look'. NABBA tends to cater for the more muscular physique and WFF favours a more athletic look. Both Federations attract a high level of male and female competitors at state, national and international level." - taken from nabba.com.au
I'll break it down simply there 3 categories for male and female. Tall And Short where you can join to try for your pro card and then there is the Novice Open category for those who have never competed before.
The judging involves the following
Round 1 - T Walk - whereby you have to hit 5 points on stage
Round 2 - Quarter Turns -
Round 3 - Quarter Turns - for muscularity
Hope this gives you a bit of insight on the comp that I'm taking part. So you see it's not all about looking ripped or lean on stage. Posing is a big criteria and how you look for your presentation including stage presence.
25 days.. 25 days..
To add on to more complications. I didn't rest well this week, as you can tell in the vlog, while i may look fine at some points in the video, I was really trying to keep it together for the camera. Fighting off either a headache, a sorethroat and the beginnings of a flu.
I've learnt another lesson, when i'm at the beginning stage of getting sick, meaning with a sorethroat. Dont' be a smart ass and train. I did my usual training and then cardio on sat.. that just killed me on Sunday. Body completely said fudge it all. Even now i'm still recovering, but loads of water is helping out. I gotta say after 3 litres of water, my skin does feel better, but i also feel terribly weak.
That's the update for week 14! Good night everyone and thank you again for following my journey!
Thanks again everyone for watching my vlogs, I'm learning everyday and do tell me what else you want me to share in my videos! Appreciate every comment and view :)

i have a confession..
I confess i let go while i was on holiday. I was suppose to stick to my nutrition plan but for 1 a half days i just went... screw it all i want to eat more cake and junk that wouldn't be good for me.
I felt the difference of 1 day eating absolute rubbish.. the contents on Sunday was a cinnamon role, 1 waffle, chocolates, jelly, 1 big cookie, 1 big bowl of instant noodles, muruku.. yes thats it. That one day of eating rubbish made a difference cause the following day on Monday, now it makes sense why I was feeling rather drained and my lactic acid built up a lot faster than usual. Wow if i felt the difference in one day, can you imagine what it'd be like if i had eaten nonsense for a whole week??? While the failure was there, but i'm taking it as a lesson and it makes me once again understand my body a lot more.
The training program has now changed to a strength phase and my nutrition has become a lot stricter. It should've been strict to being with and it was but now justa lot more. Especially in regards to my carbs. NO MORE BANANA! Banana's have a very high glycemic index and one banana would shoot me out of my carb quota which is 50g. I need to get the body into a state of lipolysis so that i can burn fat effectively.
Body issues or insecurities also played a role in this episodes. You go through a number of emotions as a female doing this, i suppose. Stems from times when we are the most critical bout our own physique, how we think people will judge you... but in all honesty, we shouldn't care.
