I recorded that a few days ago for a big pod cast company in China as their featured celebrity artist, acting and singing coach; by acting and expressing through our voice.⁣

Every year, for each of our birthdays, Mrs Mom will normally write a special post dedicated just for us. And today is Fatimah’s 6th birthday! Unfortunately, Mrs Mom has been unwell so she is not able to write for now. I have decided to take over because I have promised Mrs Mom that I will be her eyes when she can’t read, I’ll be her voice when she can’t speak, and I’ll be her words when she can’t write…

For as long as I can remember, I have always thought of Fatimah as strong-willed, resilient, brave, fun, loving - even inspirational! But these words are simply not enough to sum up my little sister's amazing character. She may be little, but she is fierce! She is ready to take on anything. She’s always wanting to learn new things and share her knowledge with others by teaching them, too. She’s a fast learner and an unbelievably good teacher!

Many of you may know that Fatimah LOVES to talk! In fact, Mrs Mom says that she was #BornToTalk! She’s even been dubbed the Junior Motivational Speaker - honestly, she deserves that title. But then 2019 came, a year that was hard for all of us, the year in which we lost our beloved Mamajee Adamdidam, and all of a sudden, it was like Fatimah had lost her voice - and herself! She was no longer giving us her powerful little speeches or telling us her stories anymore. Sure, she had a smile on her face, but her eyes said it all. Just one look at them and we all knew that she was struggling. It was an especially hard time for her because Mamajee had become like a father to her when Mrs Mom was ill and Mr Dad had his hands full with Ali and everything else...

Losing Mamajee was like losing a piece of her. But she fought. She fought and she would keep on fighting until she overcame that emptiness. Now, she is happier, and although she still finds it hard sometimes, I can definitely say with full confidence that Fatimah is the STRONGEST girl I know and I am so proud to have her as my little sister - I know Ali loves and adores Fatimah with all his heart too! I doubt I will ever meet anyone as AMAZING as Fatimah - she is truly one in a million!

{IG Giveaway} "Whether your life is happy or not is your own choice."

Born without limbs, Nick Vujicic chooses to be thankful for what he has and lives life to the max - which is why he is one of the most inspirational people to us. The girls fondly call him "Uncle Nick" and we've watched a handful of his online speeches, talks and even met him in person at his book launch too.

This illustrated storybook "Give Me a Hug", which is based on his true story, is a great way to teach little ones to have compassion, be kind, show gratitude and think positively in all you do. We love all the honest sharing, like how he encountered bullies when he was a child, how he wondered about life's purpose, how he felt down and wanted to end his life, and subsequently how he found the strength to persevere and overcame the challenges bit by bit before he got to where he is today. By the way, he is now a father of four (two boys and a set of twin girls)!

It's a good book for our bedtime storytelling and the little sister loves reading it on her own now since the wordings are not difficult, the illustrations are eye-catching and the stories are meaningful. There is even a lesson learnt after every chapter so that we can be reminded about what truly matters and how we have the power to give hugs and make dreams come true.
