This is particularly a useful way to stretch the inner thighs, otherwise known as the abductor of the legs. While it is important that we know how to hug the legs in to engage the #pelvicfloor or #mulabandha, it is equally important to know how to stretch and relax the legs the other direction.

Start with the legs wide against the wall with the hands behind your buttocks. Roll the shoulders back and push the finger tips down, which helps lengthening the spine. In each exhale, widen the feet and walk the hips closer to the wall. Using the finger tips behind your butt for support and stability - and they can also keep the spine long and tall. With lots of practice, one day, the hips will touch the wall...

#yoga is a very old tradition but it never stops evolving. Wherever I can I will stay authentic to the roots, however I make some tweaks here and there that will suit modern needs.
Spicing my #headstand up with my @pranawheels. The weight of the #yogawheel could make this #sirsasana #pike challenging because the human body is a lever system. For an easier option, you can start with squeezing a #yogablock first between the thighs (close to the crotch) and then try putting the block between the ankles.
When you have more control, then comes the wheel.
This is a very good way to learn how to squeeze the legs together, in turn engaging the #pelvicfloor (#mulabandha or #rootlock), essential for any #inversion.
