Tahukah anda, ini bukan swimming pool dekat San Alfonso del Mar resort, Chile (swimming pool terbesar di dunia) ya, tetapi ini di Treasure Bay Bintan, Kepulauan Riau, Indonesia. 🇮🇩

Ini merupakan kolam renang terbesar di Asia! Boleh berenang sepuas-puasnya. 🏊‍♀️ Dekat je dengan Malaysia, sebelah Batam. Untuk ke sini boleh naik speedboat, agak mahal sikit tapi cepat dalam 15 minit je. Option lain ialah naik feri dalam sejam untuk sampai. ⛴

On her first cable skiing experience at the age of nine.

Yup, that's my girl, one who is iron-willed, adventurous and strong-minded. She was the one who wanted to try this upon knowing she could and even before we checked into our tent, she was eagerly waiting for that big moment to arrive.

To be honest, I haven't tried this before but I can see how much effort, strength and determination it takes, how easy it is to lose your balance and fall, how hard it can be to get back up on your feet. The hubby and I were afraid she might panic and struggle after a fall while taking in water and trying to steer herself in the right direction at the same time.

But, she did it time and again during that half an hour session and only got better and better with each fall. She never gave up and amazed me by how she persevered to the end. The instructor said she did well for a first-timer, and I couldn't agree more.

Yup, I guess it's a reminder for us as parents to learn to let go, to allow our little ones to take risks, to give them the chance to fail and learn to get back up on their feet. It's not that we don't need to help them, but instead of lending them a hand, perhaps a better way is to cheer for them from the sideline and hope the best for them in our hearts. That is how we let them build up the one important thing that will tide them over when the going gets tough in life - I think they call it grit.

You go, girl! Mama is proud just watching you ride the waves!

From front to back:

1) The look on your face when you get to go on a mini ATV ride despite being underaged

2) The look on your face when you are asked to ferry your little brother on a mini ATV

3) The look on your face when your mum lifts up the baby brother and brings him to the other sister so you can ride solo

In any case, it was a very fun session that lasted nearly half an hour as the kids rode a huge round around the lagoon (and I followed them all the way and was panting after). They will definitely love to do this again!
