For quick and convenient way to enjoy my favourite asam laksa flavour soup base, I just use the D'Laksa Steamboat Paste that is enough to serve 5 to 7 pax. Pour in 1L of water into the pot and add in the paste, then leave it to boil for 3 minutes, it is that easy!!

Perfect food for the rainy season these days 💯🌧💦 Prepped a very simple #steamboat for the men in my family last week for Fathers Day! ❤️

Steamboat soup base is simply cabbage and carrots, with an addition of @liloikanbilis NEW #kombu powder to enhance the sweetness! Yong Tau Foo pieces were bought fresh from the wet market, and we cooked sliced pork belly and prawns (added mushroom & Ikan bilis powder too!) so the soup became super sweet at the end of the meal 😋

Hearty homecooked food that’s easy to make but most importantly i was SO HAPPY TO SEE MY DAD FINALLY!!!! 🥳🥳🥳 #swipetoseemore👉 .. the 3 generations of men in my life. Wishing my mum was here 💔

I always find it amazing that in spite of our super humid and warm weather in Singapore, we Singaporeans will never say no to soupy dishes. This Fish Head Steamboat is definitely one of Singaporean's favourite go-to zichar dishes. While we wouldn't claim that this is as good as what you can get from the best zichar in Singapore, Roland has made it really tasty.

Ingredients:
Serves 4 - 6 pax
1 red snapper fish head
Note:
------Red snapper is also known as Ang Gor-li. You can use any white flesh fish head with enough flesh to satisfy your hunger.
------Marinate fish head with 1 tablespoon of fresh ginger juice, 1 teaspoon of salt and a few dashes of white pepper.
Ingredients for soup base
====
300g of dried anchovies (ikan bilis)
1 bulb of garlic - deskin
30g of ginger - crushed
1 tablespoon of white peppercorn
3 pieces of dried sole fish (dried flounder fish)
5L of water
1.2kg of chicken feet - blanch first
2 teaspoons of salt
====
To put the steamboat together, add some Chinese cabbage and some yam. Of course, don't forget the marinated fish head. Top it off with your soup base. Then, please enjoy :-)

Ingredients (serves 8-10)
2 corn on the cob, husked and cut into 2-inch rounds
1 kg napa cabbage, 2.2 lb, cut into 2-inch pieces
500 g mushrooms oyster/shiitake/ straw/shimeji etc., bite-sized
1 kg tofu, cut into 1x2 inch cubes
1 kg beef, thinly sliced against the grain
1 kg shrimps, tips and legs trimmed
800 g seafood balls, split an X halfway
*For the soup base*
3 liters chicken/pork broth
12 red hot chili peppers
12 (kaffir) lime leaves, teared
8 slices galangal
4 stalks lemongrass, cut into 3-inch lengths
1 onion, sliced
2 medium tomatoes, cut into wedges
2 tsp tom yum paste
4-6 tbsp fish sauce
1 tsp tom yum paste
*For the dipping sauce*
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp sesame oil
chili, roasted sesame seeds
1-2 kg noodles (glass/egg noodle, vermicelli or instant noodle)
