Hmm... What to cook today? 💭
Ever since the implementation of MCO, I've been cooking more often at home and if there is one ingredient that you'll always find in my kitchen, it has to be U.S. potatoes! They're so versatile and can be cooked in a variety of ways from baked, steamed, fried to boiled, you can't go wrong with potatoes (even if your cooking is not that great😆). Not only delicious, one medium-size potato contains just 110 calories with no fat, sodium or cholesterol and packed with nutritional values due to its attributes such as great source for nutrient dense complex carbohydrates. They are also a good source of Vitamin B6, Vitamin C and contains more potassium than a banana.

LOTS of folks on KETO/Low carb diets think that dietary (fat from the meal) needs to be the main focus of the meal. Not so if you want to lose weight.
1-Protein is our #1 macro-nutrient, eat adequate protein.
2-You can eat a lot of fibrous veggies(salads) in a day. I am a diabetic and I do not count the fiber in these veggies as carbs.I use net carbs from fibrous veggies. I do not eat starchy veggies like boiled and mashed potatoes.
3-If you have body fat that you want to lose, eat your own stored body fat for direct energy. Eat LESS dietary fat.
4-Exercise is very important.
5- Calories still matter.

My post workout lunch ~ I had boiled U.S Russets, Red & Purple potatoes with hard boiled eggs, tomatoes, cucumbers, corns, pumpkin seeds, lemon juice and a dash of pepper 😋
